IMO i will work, that's why i have donated my £35 a long time ago.

So the coach has to submit the team he wants to play each week and needs the members approval?  How long do you give it before the coach gets fed up and quits?

yes he may quit, but I think the coach will submit his prefered team, and the majority will go with him anyway meaning that any fans that vote for different players will not got it in, so in the end it will be the managers choice. Him staying when things are going wrong may be different because some football supporters can be so fickle..

I think the administration of myfc will be doing a lot of the work for the coach.

The main issue I can see with this going belly up is that (I did not realise this until i read FAQ, but then maybe i should have done) is that the £35 is a yearly subscription, and I cant see what would happen to the club in the event that no person subscribed next year. What happens to the 51% that is owned by myfc.co.uk, it cant just go into thin air..

Ebbsfleet will be ok, some things will change, the whole concept has got people in, but when the fad has gone, I see people (like myself) not making another donation because I dont actually OWN anything, which is what i believe has brought so many in..

I would love to hear any more comments..
Any Ebbsfleet fans on here?

Might be in a bit !!

this seems a bit of a con to me

so far everything voted on has been over 90% one way

all in the way the guys running MyClub want (all the stories are slanted in that favour)

so the guys behind the site are basically running the club but claiming the members are

the people behind myclub are going to make a mint

every year they will keep ploughing the members money into the club untill

the members decide not to renew and the site pulls out

sells its shares and the people behind it will share the money between them

if they can get the team into league 1 then that should be a few million

Same view as I adopt.  Some guy had an idea to buy a football club but couldn't afford it, so he sold 'shares' where you don't actually own any part of the club and have to repay each year.

That said, Barcelona is apparently run in a similar way.  You can buy a 'stake' in the club and you get to vote on matters like voting a new club President in when it's time.    There's a couple like this in Spain, but I would think it's a better run than the UK version.

How things change, I completly agree with you Iron. I thought this was a wonderful idea, but now i dont.. I will be one of those not donating another £35 when its renewal time, and i feel that there will be a few more of the same attitude..

ok we should try and get a vote up

to sell all existing players at the end of the season and play an under 18s team to help bring on young talent

think we would get to vote on it

NOT A CHANCE IN HELL as it would make the teams chance of promotion less and therefore reduce profit for the "owners"

As I said, for me there is nothing positive about being a member of myfootball club, at this present time. What I though was going to happen was very similar to the recent news about getting 100k Liverpool supporters to buy a share for 5k. I think this would have been a better idea, or would have more substance.

What I dont understand is they still advertise it as 'Own the Club, Pick the Team', yet I dont have a share in anything, i dont own anything.. I'm hoping someone somewhere can tell me why, I should not be thinking that it's very misleading, and that they might have got away with daylight robbery.
