In the intro, did I see Flushy? I have never seen him in real life so it may not be him, I did recognise him from his blonde avatar though

Great coverage i thought. But was it just me or did Karl more or less tell Praz what he had when he re-raised him? It went something like, What u got? Karl replies I got a big kicker, Praz then mucks AQ!
lol - at the border of the rules...
In fact this was not the case at all - after praz had dwelled for that long and told me he'd got "a big hand" I certainly wasn't putting him on AQ - in fact I thought he had Jacks. Me and Praz know each other's games so well that when we're headsup in a pot we know the speech play the other uses and so we have to try and double bluff. When I tell him "if you've got aces or kings stick it in" i'm trying to tell him I've got queens. Then when I say "i've got a good kicker" he knows that in fact this is something I would say if I've got a pair. I thought at the time he was laying down Jacks

It was weird watching the coverage after what has been a 9 month gap . Overall very good dipiction of the Final Table except they have cut out the hilarity around the Ray Wyre hand when he was calling for his opponents hand to win thinking it was his. They have probably cut 2/3rds of the no action hands out from the coverage of the FT so far.
I certainly have learnt a few things about my own play from the first episode particularly in the J9 vs A5 hand vs Praz. Also my checking the river against Ian Nelson when an A hit. (Whilst I held AQ). 3 hours earlier in the lead up to the FT i got crippled by Ian by his A4 vs my A10 after I had raised 3 times the blinds - he flat called then hit an A44 flop which left me on life support. I didnt want to tempt fate by him slow playing me again and hence the respect shown.
It was a very knackering but enjoyable 3 days. Why is it on so late though surely the demand is there to show this around 11pm.

just started to watch this - only 20 mins in.
But is it me or do the blinds start very high for what is meant to be a 3 day deep stacked tourney.
i think 4 players had say 120,000 or less and with blinds at 6-12,000 and 1,000 antes 27k was in the pot each hand, just for the first level. By the time someone had raised first level at least 4-5 players were either all in or fold - didnt seem enough chips to actually play poker like you get in other events...
Seems awfully high. What do the players that played think? Did the blinds carry on from the day before as i have known them to drop back down for final tables to give more play.

Really wanted to see that Ray Wyre hand, why would they cut that, from what I heard it was classic!

From what I remember I think they rolled back to the start of the level we were on before the final started (mite be wrong). I remember Joe at the time wanting the blinds rolled back but then as the short stack I guess you would.

It could have been worse they did roll the blinds back 1 level from memory but you are right there was approx 27k equity per pot before betting. At the FT I was card dead apart from the AQ hand for the first 6-7 orbits. That chewed off over 189k of my stack +/- . Luckily I came to FT in 3rd position otherwise I would have been pushing marginal hands like Simon Nowab had to.

I had mixed feelings about this show. For some reason, I was expecting a slightly higher production value with a bit more razzmatazz. However, considering it was the Tour's first outing and few budgets can match the WPT, I was probably expecting too much. There are a few things that could improve, though, such as the continuous mumbling of the casino crowd, the volume of the player's speech and the unreadable card graphics. Maybe it's just my TV screen, but I can't for the life of me work out how the latter slipped through the net. Also, I'm not a big fan of the presenter, but I guess that's just personal taste.
On the plus side, I was hugely in favour of the behind the scenes interviews outside the casino arena. For some reason these were much more interesting and original and I actually cared about what their backgrounds were, especially Damon's life as a record maker (sorry, I can't recall the official term). Although I was thoroughly entertained by (1) the entrances (2) my brief appearance in the crowd and (3) finding out how these people played, my favourite part is undoubtedly the Bad Beat Box, a cracking idea that gave me my 60 second of entertainments for the day. Edited to make them look silly - awesome, and I'd be happy to oblige if I were to play a GUKPT event.
As for the hands, Ian Nelson did make some strange plays, and we can critisize Greg till we're blue in the face, but I'm sure we've all made quesitonable decisions at some point or another, and probably not under the pressure of the camera and lights either.
I'm not overly excited about next week's show, but I'll probably watch it if I'm around.

I'll agree with Snoops that the players mic's weren't high enough and the graphics where very hard to read, other than that I really enjoyed it. The speech's between Karl & Praz were highly entertaining (not to them both I'm sure) but I luvvvved it. Cant wait to see next weeks show and just wish we could see more quirky hands instead of just standard "big" hands..
