Unofficially, an announcement might be possible before the end of the week.  That will be the official announcement, not a pre-announcement announcement.  So this is an unofficial announcement of the possibility of an official announcement.  Officially.

Tighty and the others are working frantically behind the scenes.  Like ducks on a pond, etc.

That's the whole point.  The ducks seem to be serenely moving across the surface of the pond, yet underneath - their feet are paddling away like mad.  Just like blonde.

We have a venue

I or colleague needs to speak to venue just to confirm details like buy-in and start time before we announce it. Wouldn't want to announce it and then confuse people by changing things would we, have half the field turning up for 4pm and half for 6pm?

Sadly the key person at the venue has been working an event all weekend, and we should speak tomorrow.

Now then what's confusing about this?
