The ones on the side are standard monitors - the graphics card can support them in portrait mode as well as landscape.

The monitor in the middle is a Dell 3007WFP (as talked about here..!). The ones to the side are Dell 2001FP 20” monitors. It makes an 8MP desktop at 4960x1600. The review where they put together this setup is here: http://www.ubergizmo.com/15/archives/2006/02/dell_3007wfp_on_dell_2001fp_action_8_megapixel_desktop.html

If you have the 3007WFP already then you can probably add a 2001FP easily (as you graphics card probably has 2 x DVI connectors). But to add the 3rd monitor you'll probably need another graphics card (add a PCI one or a special one that supports 3 monitors).
