Poker Week Shootout
«

Did anyone notice the new toy that the camermen have on Poker Week. All though the interview with Marcel Luske we had a moving gun sight, I shot Compo three times and he still wouldn't go down!!
Dont like the new boys, stick to the plain screen.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Thanks for the feedback Foggy, it's useful & appreciated.
Truth is, we sexed up the camerawork, & show generally, as we thought we'd got a bit stale & formulaic. Wormster - the Producer - has it all on to please everybody, & gets it in the neck if we don't get it right, but he, with our support, is trying to improve the Show. The feedback from the Sky Suits was quite good, so we'll keep experimenting. Fact is, the Contract is for 2007 only, & is up for re-negotiation very shortly, so we are doing our best to freshen it up & hang in there for 2008. It's the only Poker Magazine show on TV at the moment, so it'd be a shame if we could not renew the Contract for 2008. We are doing our best, but what will be will be.
Keep the feedback, good or bad, coming please.

MHO. If it's a music video, do the arty farty stuff. If it's a poker interview, by all means use interesting settings/locations, but ffs keep the camera still while someone is talking.
I hate it when the camera moves around someones head, flicks from tele to wide with a da da da sound effect and alternates between black and white and colour.
BTW- I'm only criticising because you asked me to, overall the show was terrific.

apart from Compo & a bunch of scantily clad ladies, this week's Poker Week has interviews with Jon Kalmar, Thomas Bihl, Jeffrey Pollack & David Yu (of Betfair), plus quick grabs with Gary Jones, Greg Raymer, Marc Goodwin, Devilfish & Tony G .
First showing is tonight at 00:30am on Sky Sports Xtra and repeated at 7:30am tomorrow morning on the same channel
Sky Poker will show the new programme from Saturday
Hope you enjoy it
