A true pioneer for the good has passed away -- she had fair trade in mind before it became fashionable -- may she rest in peace.......

I'm genuinely shocked to read this - she must have been pretty young.

oh my Goodness, I'm shocked too!

Blimey

My missus thinks she's great, I'll have to let her know.

Rest in peace indeed.

Nothing ironic i hope.

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life.
Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft?
Of course not.

Roddick died suddenly of a major brain haemorrhage around 6.30pm on September 10, 2007, having been admitted to St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, the previous evening suffering from a severe headache

There are times when you are genuinely sorry for posting a thread -- because it will cause controversy or invoke counter emotive replies  -- it was not my intention, I was really sorry about her passing -- please accept my apology. It won't happen again.

Never really a fan of her brand. Her activism and enthusiasm was clearly something to be respected, in fact when you see how much change and influence one persons aspirations can exact; you cant help but feel a little inadeqaute with your own day to day life.

She got Hep C from a blood transfusion in the 70s (I believe) and it's been a ticking time-bomb ever since.  She only found out a few years ago.

There's no controversial posts on here are there?  I think most people will feel the same.

I saw the news and was going to post a thread about it too.  64 pretty young these days - and she seemed to be a decent person who'd obviously achieved a hell of a lot, without crapping over other people in the process.
