Arriving fashionably (if this guy can ever be fashionable!) late is a somewhat intoxicated Mr Fox. Although the near bracelet winner is denying his alcohlic antis prior to this event, he is clearly blurry eyed and chatting more than Parkinson in his prime. This go-to-the-pub-beforehand regime seems to be working out for him though, as the now shaven headed Brummie is up to a rather staggering 22.5k after just one level. The question is, can he last the day on his current booze mission?

In fact, how about this for a question... How many beers do we put Foxy on by the end of the night?

Excluding his pre-match warmu-up, he's currently finishing off his first pint. Any guesses? I'm going for 8.

Good Lord, is that the bizarre sound of a 4th elimination I hear? Yes, my ears do not decieve me, as incredibly, we've lost yet another. This time around it's local boy Chris Gavriel, who finalled in the February festival here. No luck this time around, table neighbour Dean Mitchell snipering him off with A-T versus A-9 on an Ace high Flop.

In fact, Mitchell was slightly surprised about the turn of events: "I couldn't believe it," he retold. "I called his raise and bet out on an A-T-rag flop. He moved all-in with A-9 and I called."

The Hewston/Mallu style of play not quite working for Chris this time around, but I'm sure we'll see him back in the fray soon.

Wandering around the card room, I always see Mad Turk in a hand or commenting about a hand.  He is involved in most pots, talking during every move and action, and when it goes wrong says "well u gotta try havent you?"  Well trying he is and his stack is up to a healthy 24k already.  He told me that he promised Ash Pervais that by the time he arrives at Broadway about 8.30pm tonight, he was gonna be chip leader... He certainly is keeping true to his promise.

Dave Colclough has a lively table sat next to a certain Con Cronin aka "the dazzling cornelius from smethwick."  He keeps quoting god so I stopped listening hehe.

Unfortunately for our Liverpudlian followers, Sir George Geary of Grindsville has suffered a shock early exit at the devilish hands of our favourite Super Mario lookalikey Essy Jahanpour, a well known player around these parts.

With Essy raising it up pre-flop with A-Q, a raising war of epic proportions entailed between the two players on a Q-Q-3 rainbow flop: Essy to 300, George to 2,000, Essy to 6,000 and George all-in before Essy called quicker than a hare riding a cheetah on a Japanese bullet train (surreal image, I know, but let's go with it).
