Just a few hands later, the brightly coloured shirted Pascal Perrault declares civil war on fellow countryman Anthony Lellouche, raise, re-raise, all-in, call on a Flop of
with Pascal making the final push. Both players had a big piece of the action, Pascal's
leading to Anthony and his
to demand the board to pair after the
Turn. However, the request wasn't met and Pascal doubled through on a
River.

It's a doubleupfest here in London, the latest double-upper to join the seemingly non-elitist club being the intriguingly hatted Paul Mendes. I joined the action late, but assume Surinder Sunar was the recipient as he was lingering over his seat in that adrenalin-pumping way players do when they have reach a showdown.
With Kings v Jacks, a face-off was inevitable, but Mendes will have been relieved to be holding the former, especially after the dealer popped out a
. Cool as a cucumber buried in snow, Mendes simply nodded as he accepted his gold.
But what about that hat? Thumbs up or thumbs down?

Ian
Cox
in the mix again, small blind Ian makes it 23K and the big blind Peter Peterson moved all in for a total of 56,000. Ian called and showed
and Petersen showed
the board was a very comprehensive:
Peter Petersen out in 20th place

There's been a lot of Cox of late, and we have yet more Cox for you now as the hot-running Brit eliminates local hero Ken Wong. Raising to 20k from the button, Wong made his move from the big blind with
, Cox perhaps sensing weakness and happy to make the call. As Cox revealed
, Wong tapped the table, his sagging expression perhaps reflective of his current mood and the heightened confidence-lacking aura of 'this-is-my-last-hand' -syndrome.
And his last hand it was, the board coming
and leaving a dejected Wong with nothing but the green of the baize. "Yes!" exclaims Cox in that elated, but simultaneously hesitant and respectful manner that is so familiar with victors at this stage. Wong, meanwhile, simply said "Nice hand" respectfully and quietly sneaked away from the table.

As soon as I'd complained (although disguised) about the lack of action, the feature table encountered it's first double up in a while, Florian Langmann finding his chips dancing into the middle with
against an ahead, but not dominating
of Anthony Lellouche.
The
Flop garnered a receptive nod from Langmann, but no visible excitement just yet. The
turn then took away two of his outs, leaving him with just the flush draw, which did indeed arrive on the
River to save his relieved bacon.

Georgiou just took a few chips off Surinder. Surrinder raised to 25k in the cut off, called by Georgiou. On a 4 J 4 flop, Georgiou checks and Surinder bets 60k, called by Georgiou.
The turn is an A and they both check and await the 9 river, Georgiou bet 50k on the river and Surinder Insta passes. He should be on about 200k.
Tony Cascarino is the short stack and has gone all in about 4 times recently. With the blinds at 4k / 8k and 1k ante his 33k wasnt going to last very long but he doubled once and the other times took the blinds and antes. He just keeps laughing and saying "How the hell am I still in this tournament?"
Josh Egan was on about 90k but got doubled up by Ian Cox.

Outer tables:
(1) Paul Mendez -- 250k
(2) Marcel Baran -- 580k
(3) Phideas Georgiou -- 185k
(4) Tony Cascarino -- 90k
(5) Lam Trinh -- 210k
(1) David Obrabac -- 240k
(2) Ian Cox -- 115k
(3) Joseph Mouawad -- 240k
(4) Josh Egan -- 370k
(5) Florian Langmann -- 300k

Ian Cox was mumbling something about Tens v Kings when questioned about his chip discrepancy.

Meanwhile on the Feature table Florian Langmann raised it up to 19k, Moneymaker makes the call. Flop
Florian bet out 28k, again smooth called by Moneymaker. The turn came
Florian checked and Moneymaker moved all in. Florian insat called and we got to see a glorious
Moneymaker
Florian
sealed Moneymakers fate and the with the not so sincere "nice hand siiiiir" he removes his microphone and is off.
Chris Moneymaker OUT in 17th place.
That means we are down to 2 tables and 16 left for a re draw.

First hand back after the redraw and Alan Smirfit makes it onto the feature table but not for long I'm afraid. Starting the hand with only 56,000 there was a raise in front of him and and he pushed all in and was called for the extra 32k more by Marcel Baran.
Baran
Smurfitt
Board
So the rivered Flush sent Omaha bracelet winner Smirfitt out in 16th place.
Can you see his bracelet neatly placed in front of his chips? The bracelet hasn't moved from that position all day and I don't know about you guys but I makes me feel a little queezy personally (and I don't mean that it would intimidate me!)

Lam Trinh is OUT.
I think I pulled a muscle trying to get the hand, but I got it nonetheless, Trinh pushing all-in with
, but failing to outdraw Josh Egan's
on a
board.
Another Brit down.

Blinds 5k / 10k Tony Cascarino raises to 40k preflop, it goes round to the rather pensive Georgiou in the small blind who makes the call. Incidently in the hands that I have watched this cypriot, every decision is a big one and every decision takes time to make. Anyhow we all witness a flop like
Georgiou bets to put Cascarino all in and if he wanted him to pass, no chance. Cascarino calls all in wth
.
The Cypriot shows
. Straight away, heartache for the ex footballer as the
hits the turn and even a
on the river makes no difference and after about the 8th all in of the day for Cascarino he is OUT in 14th place.
