3 of 40 left in £100 freezeout at northants earlier.

prizes -
1st. 1900
2nd. 900
3rd. 500

button - 85k TAG who made a dodge all-in call earlier but does little without a hand
SB - LAG - 125k looseish calls and raises whole of the final table. raising about 50% of hands since 4/3 handed. mainly just doubling the blind.
BB - YOU. 49k somewhere between TAG/LAG tonight.

no physical reads on the TAG. the LAG gives away strength by looking away once he's bet.

blinds 8k/4k

button folds.
sb limps.

1) should we push any two cards here?

you have  three diamonds and check.

pot 16k - we have 41k back.

flop

sb checks.
2) having checked preflop should we basically give up this hand or knowing now he doesn't have an ace move all in?

just give up the hand he is a LAG and has a monster of chips he is likely to call with any sort of draw (which is already ahead of you) any pair or he could be slow playing waiting for you to push with a hand like AA or JJ

basically you have commited nothing to the pot forgot about it move onto the next hand

Whenever someone who's been raising most pots suddenly limps in the SB then I get a little worried. I'm not pushing pre flop here with those two. And a LAG checking that flop? I can't play this, I'm done with the hand.

i'd definately have known if he had JJ/AA/AJ here. like i say he had a pretty obvious tell which didn't appear during the hand.
