Registration fee for the £50 bb5 comp
«
on:
October 02, 2007, 10:26:43 AM »
Just to avoid any confusion on the day, please note that a £5 registration fee will be charged on this comp
This is good value really, there's free buffets all weekend, the club is bringing in 10+ dealers from other casinos to ensure the whole comp is dealer dealt, there's entertainment (and me on the karaoke) on the Friday night etc but I don't think we'd made it clear previously
Thanks

The team (mods and tikay) discussed it, though I think I may have originally floated the idea, pre-announcement and felt a move to £50 was appropriate.
If its wildly unpopular, which so far it doesn't seem to have been, we can live and learn for bbs 6 onwards

It could actually be a valid revenue stream for Blonde. Stick Ironside on the karaoke and pass the hat round to get it switched off.
Enough could be raised to have Tightend and Kev driving around in diamond-encrusted Ferraris.

Does that mean we would have to give the ruby encrusted Bentleys back ?

just think that £55 for those who have no chance of cashing and only in it for fun may be a bit much. charlotte is coming along with me and rather than sit around waiting for me to be eliminated (granted wont be long lol) would rather play. £30 a little easier on the pocket to subsidise the people who play with the sole intention of winning it!(not me as 1 i aint good enough and 2 i wana have fun and 3 il prob be pissed lol)

don't worry mate..My Mrs won't play (she might play some STT's and all that though) so she can sit at the bar with her and spend more than 50£

I can manage £50 - but I would have preferred £30 still.

I have to be honest and I prefer 50..I'd be OK with 30 as it's the bash I'm going for and not the tourney itsself..(bit expensive spending a few hundred£ on a 50£ tourney lol) but I quite like it that the tourney prizemoney could cover the trip..if I manage to fluke more often than KP.
