I think your just all cycnics, this is clearly the feel good story of the poker year! I would like to offer my congratulations to Mark Teltscher's sister, playing her first online tournament under account 'thev0id' she wins the WCOOP Main event. Unlucky to Mark playing in the same event as his novice sister from (reportedly) the same IP, he managed a dissapointing 2,000 and something place finish. Well done Mark's sister, what are the odds of doing so much better than your pro-poker player, EPT winning brother! Heart warming tail.

Quote
The investigation into the WCOOP Main Event has now been concluded.

We have determined, based on the totality of evidence, that the tournament winner “TheV0id” was in breach of the PokerStars Terms of Service.

In the interests of Game Integrity, “TheV0id” has been disqualified from first place.

All other WCOOP Main Event prizewinners in addition to the player who originally bubbled in 415th place will therefore advance one place in the prize pool. The necessary financial adjustments to reflect the revised tournament places will be made within the next 24 hours.

Please note that we are unable to release further details of this investigation, for reasons of confidentiality and privacy.

Manager, PokerStars Game Security

with this and the AP account 363 stuff, it's a bad time for internet poker but respect to PS for having the balls to do the right thing.

Can someone explain why he/she has been disqualified, or point me in the direction of the story?

The only fact that is known is that the winning account was completely new and had never played a MTT.  Some have stated that the winning account was in the name of Mark Teltcher's sister.  I can only imagine that PS concluded that the registered user of the account was not playing - this is a breach of their terms of service.

I wonder how this all came out in the first place. If he had not been so much of a **** that pretty much everyone seems to dislike the guy, would he have got caught? Was the leak from Stars or were Stars told about it?
