its more like game set and match to ironside

which is the same score when bainn tried to tell me i would be playing in the apat regionals on the 25th of november

I asked you a simple question in the "Scottish Invasion" thread if you were going to play the qualifier seeing as your initial date to come down was the 14th.

but back to the point in question i feel you saying that you dont want locals joining because they dont want

to be part of the Association is wrong

Your use of the word "Joining" suggests there is something to join, an association perhaps ?

I never said I did not want locals taking part, the association welcomes all players who wish to join and help promote the rights of players. No, I was just concerned with the idea of players taking part in a live event simply because it was "There" and having no idea, or intention of taking part in our association or guiding the direction it goes in. The tour is there for members of the APAt.

the association gets its clout by the numbers that it represents so getting locals to join up (as everyone who plays becomes a member) is important for apat, if they are not bothered about the tour then all the better for those that want to play the tour

as for the scottish invasion thread your exact words were

"you WILL be playing"

i pointed out i WONT be playing

As I have already mentioned, getting new members is a good thing, but if they are not concerned with the tour (which is your interpretation of what I said) then taking the place of someone who wishes to play in the tour and gain ranking points is a sticking point ?

And my EXACT words, with none of your added capitalization -

"You will be playing the Regional qualifier for the Welsh APAt event then ?"

we have to wiegh up the advantage of being a bigger organisation against the wishes of the players who want to play the tour

the tour should be an instrument in promoting the APA

which so far it has been with the tour generating new members

and glad you are agreeing with me you implied in my reading of the post that i will be playing in a regional quailfier

I suspect these players have a greater interest in the tour, all be it a single event or subsequent local events, than they care about the actual association and whatever it eventually gets round to acheiving.

So how many runners did these first regional qualifiers generate ?
