Listening to the feedback, and will be consulting with the venues in time for the second round of events

the dealer and starting stack issue obviously being two points for starters

68 at Luton, including some late starting locals who might usually have been playing the £10 rebuy that wasn't on and are now APAT members, hopefully with more of an idea of what they were playing in by the end than they did at the start. Dealers did an excellent job, as they did at the biggie a couple of months ago. Final 3 had all played in the biggie in August.

And I'm happy to say that I had sufficient starting stack to see me through right to the end

I thought it was quite good, but then I'm only really used to 20 mins self dealt with 1500 chips or so.  They didn't have enough dealers at the Vic, but to be fair they did have a couple on and they moved us from table 1 to a table with a dealer after two hands when another dealer turned up.

Sadly the cards weren't on my side, had aces beat by 9's early on but scrapped back with more pocket aces, but my QQ was no good on a Q789T board when my opponant had 66.

That's the heartbreak story out of the way, but I really enjoyed it.  Glad I left at 10am to get there in time for opening to beat the rush!  I arrived at 11am - no, sorry they don't let you in the car park early, so I spent an hour dodging the traffic wardens.    Eventually got in the car park and was greeted by a valet that insisted on me leaving keys and car with him and he was going to park it - fair enough, nothing too wrong with that, except the sign saying the Vic accepts no responsibilty for loss or damage to cars or property amused me in a worrying sort of way.  Thankfully all seemed ok on my early return.  Anyway, got in at 12 to beat the rush of people for a seat - there were 4 in front of me and only 48 overal Cheesy   I'll take it easier on the way up next time!

I was going to stick around for the freezout but it was a bit long to wait for me.   I'll definately go to the next one though, had a friendly bunch on my table and it was a very enjoyable day.

I really would like to say well done to Richard et al for this weekend, a tremendous amount of work (unpaid) has obviously gone into this weekend.
Sadly i had yet another family crisis so missed the first event but i will be there for the next (stupid dippy women aside) event.

61 at Bristol mostly regulars who loved the structure, all tables dealer dealt, structure was sound only gripe was not having 150/300 level, the jump from 100/200 to 200/400 took its toll.
I got there at 12 reg didn't open till 1 so sat and watched sky sports drinking complimentary tea and coffee till kick off, all soft drinks were complimentary too. Buffet was a selection of sandwiches, chicken wings and chips (no charge).

I went out in 16th but great value for £20 buyin.

well done! 68 is a good turnout!

and thanks for all the other positive comments. Would welcome other feedback good or bad. If we don't know of issues we can't address them!

Went to The Vic, and like Silo, enjoyed the day overall. Went out in 18th....but Mel was still in, well stacked thumbs up

As he said, only 2 out of 6 starting tables had dealers....the reason given by the Manager was short notice and that having this event sandwiched between the EPT and the upcoming GUKPT meant he couldn't rota on dealers.

Completely agree it needs a 150/300 level. We seem to go from playing Poker to a bit of an all in fest.

Never saw or heard about any Buffet...but maybe I went out too early!

Everyone was really friendly, and it was played in a nice atmosphere.....apart from one guy who thought it was a WSOP final table!!, and threw a complete strop by throwing his chips everywhere and storming off,.... when his Queens lost to Mel's Ace King....LOL

67 at manchester ended up being self dealt

No surprise there - they couldn't run a raffle. Surely the worst run cardroom anywhere/ever
