i still fancy an awy trip in europe

not to keen on athens it could turn nasty out there with the greek police and fans not understanding the drunken scots

so i am thinking of going to madrid

anyone fancy a trip to spain?

I think there is more potential for violence in Spain than there is in Greece.  Spannish cops aren't the best in the world.

I quite fancy a trip to Greece or Turkey for the football, never had the pleasure of going to either. 

I'd suggest you take a wee week in Greece Mr ironside have a holiday at the same time, you'll pick up a bargain the now.

If you are only going to one then Madrid is a far better option.  I've been to Athens twice and if I never have to go back again i'll be a happy man. Its a complete hole imo.

seriously tho heard loads of horror stories from 2003, stayed there one night coming back from seville and hated it, personally knew 5 people who were mugged or pickpocketed or had phones taken while sitting in the pubs etc.
