Just watched 'Sunshine' on a flight to the US.

Has anyone else seen it. It seemed an interesting premise but then it just seemed to descend into total plop.

Maybe cause I was tired and kept dozing off I missed how good it was.

Interested in opinions so I can decide whether to try again on the way back.

Also, have never watched prison break before so watched the pilot episode - really liked it but does the whole series and follow up series' take place in just one location ? Does the guy go from prison to prison breaking out ?

Can't work on flights so also watched the new Die hard movie - sort of alright but does every movie today throw in a lot of digital surveillance alongside 'free running' type themes  -good fun anyway but dreaming of doing a reworking of a Shakespeare where Caesar got himself some damn fine bins and earpieces and chases the thin men all over the shop in a massively athletic way despite a huge limp and a few of them unkindest cuts

Bed !

The first series is almost all in the one location.I found it excellent

The second series, "on the run" so to speak, is relatively disappointing

Disappointing?  I thought it was excellent.  All the dodging and escaping from the bad guys, near misses and close calls.  Don't want to spoil anything, but I thought it was great stuff.

Prison break is excellent. The 2nd (and so far the 3rd) series aren't as good as the 1st but they are still good, we were just spoiled with the 1st one.

I went to see Sunshine at the cinema when it came out. It got great reviews but I was disappointed, it didn't offer anything new to the genre apart from some impressive special effects. The plot and characters were weak and none of the actors impressed.

I enjoyed Sunshine and thought the visuals were really good. Plot got silly towards the end and left too much unexplained really imo.

Prison Break, as everyone else has said has never lived up to the first series which was a good new premise for a TV show.
Best show on TV though? Not imho - that would go to The Shield, although Dexter is a good show if you haven't caught it yet.
