Here's a thought. If sponsored players wear sponsor's merchandise etc, then if Actionman 'sponsored' M3Boy and the others in the $100k on stars then shouldn't they have worn something like 'Rick Trigg wigs' while sitting at their PC's?

Maybe they did.
Interesting that many of the players at the previous APAT comps wore merchandised clothes. Granted most were just airing out their poker wardrobe but I know of one player who is sponsored and wears their clothes whilst at the table and is a regular APAT player. Then again he's probably staked and not sponsored.

Or, uses his own money to play the event.
If you feel we don't know the specifics of the case you refer to, email us and we'll look into it
Bet we do though.

No because he is a pro!
the gentleman I am aware of who is sponsored into a few comps and plays APATs is not a pro!

Indeed I may be talking about someone else but I'm not going into details as it's not really important. I just made the intial point as a devils advocate and not really to bothered on how APAT decides to run it's own organisation. I do however find it amusing the use of the word amatuer in their name and just chucked in the idea that someone who gets sponsored is not necessarliy a pro so why can't they play in future APAT comps.
So to clarify, sponsored players can't play in future APAT comps but I can stake a few players and get them to wear my company clothing in future APAT comps???
The person I'm talking about may well pay they own entry fee into APAT comps but they do more often than not wear branded clothing from a company that they have a sponsorship deal with.

Ho Hum - just incase it IS me you are talking about..............
I get money from a Poker Site, this is true (to do with what I wish), and I wear their clothing (by choice, I am NOT forced to).
I am sure though, many will laugh at you if you think I am a Pro. lol (I run my own Accountancy firm)
To my knowledge though, I have never worn their clothing to an APAT event, maybe I will this weekend though, just to proove a point
BTW, this topic is getting very tedious.

We have been thru this before, the distinction between amateur and pro is very blurred and TBF any set criteria is going to be questionable without adding the staked/pro bit into it.
APT put themselves into very tricky situation on this point and they have done (i think) the best they could but they can ever get it 100% correct because it's such a grey area.
As for pros entering a £75 comp with an EPT added seat, well hello, why the hell not?
Oh an as folks are allowed to be staked i'll take a free shot at it................
