Just arrived at the (pretty nice to be fair) ramada hotel.

Anyone know when the action (ie. cash games) starts tonight?

That was quick, I've just noticed some biscuits in my room so that should hold me back a while, but I'll pop over soon enough and start losing money.

is there a bar in the poker room?

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Great start to the week-end...he'll be pointing you out and telling his mates about your 'burning' issues.

I've arrived slightly early for the updating so have been "liaising" with Kev and Tighty, liaising being the current fashionable euphemism for tapping away on blonde.

The boys have been hard at work organising the satellite for tomorrow's event.

The hall it is being staged in in the hotel is large, but it is a testament to the spatial organisation that has gone on that they have squeezed in a stupendous thirty three tables to meet the large demand for tonight's satellite. Here is he hall, rammed and jammed with tables and chairs ready for the satellite tonight and the main event tomorrow...

Also I am very impressed with the snazzy blonde tables and chips they will be using. Quite funky I think and deserving of a pic or two...

The hall picture didn't come out in the last post, but here is the hall, cleverly filled with thirty three or is that "terty tree" (just getting in the spirit!) tables...

and now that the ecelectic mix of players have poured into the hotel, the hall has been brought to life with the classic hustle and bustle, clinking of chips, donning of ipod headphones and shades that tells you the game is on...
