Hmm, Red, I did not find it a joking post - and I have a very dry sense of humour. I am flying and someone who says "I hope you crash and burn" holds no humour for me.
Phil, I take your point about the "experiment" but I do not see the need to return the money. If however, they want it returned then of course I would gladly do that.
Also on the point of Charity - if I want to give to charity then I will. I will not feel the need to post about it though.
There are many many people that give to charity who remain annon. It really grates me the people who want to publicly announce they give to charity - why? Does it mean you have given more than if you stayed silent? No. The main reason people say they are giving to charity is to say "look at me" "look at what I am doing" - I am not saying this is your reason or the reason of anyone else who has also posted about giving to charity, but it is most peoples reason.
I suppose an argument could be that you raise awareness and convince others to also give to charity.
I am flying on the same flight so I think it is safe to assume that I mean crash and burn purely in a poker sense. How easily ones words can be twisted. Secondly I have no problem in shouting that I am giving a proportion of my winnings to charity. I do it specifically for it to come across as "look at what I am doing" and exactly for the reason you answered yourself though you are probably right in that these people would have given quietly anyway. I have the right to portray myself in a way I am comfortable with. I have done so.

and I will be the same affable person I always am hopefully..............whilst obviously trying to make him crash and burn, a figure of speech I use when trying to describe the act of knocking somebody out of a tournament. If I should be knocked out before him I will obviously be rooting for him and any other blonde still in. Nobody should be in any doubt about that.

I am in this thingy and have 100% of myself. My concience would not let me sell any part of that.
Why?
Cos I hit Waterford at around 13:00 on Friday and the turney starts at 19:30 and thats 6 and a half hours in a city full of Guinness oooops..........

VGL to all blondes taking part in this event.
Paul has decided to sell 20% of himself for whatever reason. The plain facts are that , There wont be many players in the comp which have a better shout than paul in a deep-stack comp. He has masses of experience and imo only needs a few breaks which havent been forthcoming recently, to notch up a big score.
I was thinking about buying up some %'sfor interest/as an investment but decided not too as i will cheer paul, and anyone else on the same with no financial interest.
Its pretty ballsy offering stakes and whilt doing so opens up avenue's for you to be mocked but i see nothing wrong with this type of business proposal. As they say 'ya pays ya money, ya takes ya chance'.
Hope all blondes have a good trip and don't forget that poker isnt the be all and end all. GL all.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

FYP What are the odds on Dewi and The Duke not being able to stand up when they have to take their seats (if you know what I mean)?

I did suggest we hit the pool for an hour to chill and keep out of trouble, but Duke was having none of it.
