The BBC are looking for contestants for the 2008 series of Mastermind.
There are three ways of applying:
1 Email -
mastermind@bbc.co.uk
2 Download a PDF application form -
www.bbc.co.uk/entertainment/mastermind
3 Or send a SAE to: Mastermind Applications, Room 4012, BBC Manchester,
Oxford Road, Manchester, M60 1SJ
Have you what it takes to be next year's champion?

Specialist subjects these days are all tosh. Some woman had the life of Jennifer Aniston up to the age of 28 or some crap like that. I got more right than her too!

Tough category. Not exactly a niche subject!

I did a pilot for Balls of Steel which thankfully wasn't shown, but my specialist subject was the history of the Beano.

wow..no offense Indy but how bad does something have to be before it gets cut from Balls Of Steel? that has to be the most juvenile and pathetic excuse for a telly show out there at the moment..."Let's squirt water in Tom Cruise's face at a premier"...yes..it was hilarious and definetly not something a 5 year old could come up with..and it was original as well as noone has ever done it before...blah..end of rant.

No offense taken as I did it before anyone had heard of Balls of Steel and it was set up as a genuine game show.It was in two parts along the lines of mastermind but made a few differences to make it less suspicious. The trouble was for them was that I realised early on what was happening and just went with it and laughed whereas they really wanted an angry reaction. Have to agree the show was a pile of poop.
Talking of premieres, I will be at the premier of Dustin Hoffman's new film in the West End this weekend "Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium". I will do my best to get in camera shot for the news.

It was a fun experience (although puzzled why the Red carpet was Blue). Dustin Hoffman plays Mr Magorium and he introduced the film. Although I enjoyed the experience and had allways wanted to do a premier, I must admit I didn't really enjoy the film that much. I thought the idea of the film was sound, a sort of Willy Wonka set up in a toy shop but was a bit slow, not enough laughs and not a very good ending.
