It's a 2 year sentence for not revealing your encryption keys to the Police if they ask, and also 2 years for telling anyone that this has happened...
But of course this shouldn't concern you because if you aren't doing anything wrong, why would you need to use encryption?
Erm, if the police asked as part of an enquiry - then I'd tell them. I was talking about some dodgy Dutch bloke (called Boldie) who might try to thieve the money from my bank, etc.
Why do I need encryption? To store my banking information, my passwords, and my donkey porn collection.
Don't worry about me stealing money from your bank account...ou just send that check to the Dutch Lottery Institution to collect that big prize!

If you have a couple of passwords and numbers that you can remember. Then base the rest of your passwords on different combinations of these passwords. You can safely write down clues to the combinations of the passwords as if noone knows your original passwords they can't reconstruct them from your clues.

The best thing on the market for this is........... Tell your mum.. She wont forget you know she already phones you up to remind you of your brothers b'day or your aunties moved home.
So just tell her everything you need to remeber, if you forget anything, you can call her (which she will thinks nice, as you dont call anymoreand she never sees you) heh presto .

I personally wouldn't trust a third-party website with any important passwords. One, you don't know how secure it is, two you probably wouldn't be informed if there was a breach of security (or not very quickly anyway), and also the site could vanish - leaving you up the creek without a password.

Definitely one of the best methods - as long as the notepad is securely locked/hidden away somewhere. I'd like to see a hacker get your passwords from a piece of paper locked up in your safe!

Notebook and pen for me too, so safe that it usually takes me hours or even days to find it...

They'd use the piece underneath that had the imprints in.
I agree that I wouldn't want to trust a 3rd party website to manage my passwords, not least because it would open itself up to be a pretty big target for attack!

Aha! But they can't - because you burnt the pad that you originally wrote the passwords on, all you have now is a polaroid of the page.

How about if it offers a free download which then sits as software behind your firewall?

And fetches the passwords from their server?
