I think Allardyce has missed out now. If he was going to get it it was before McLaren, plus he hasn't exactly worked wonders at Newcastle.
Not sure who'd do a good job to be honest. Get Shearer in the role, he's full of passion at least.

English/ Foreign i don't care, just getting the best man for the job.
I don't think there is a suitable English candidate out there, but then again that was the case 2 years ago.
There of course are manager who you would love to see do it but almost certainly won't do it, Jose Mourinho being an obvious example.
My choice would be Martin O'Neill who would take it, he certainly was keen two years back and the FA have to stop picking people who won't voice their opinions and pick the best candidate. I would have nothing against a top foreign manager taking it Hiddink/ Scolari etc.
Just please not another sub standard yes man, one time.
