ALSO NO player would be paid to play for England, if pride at representing their country isnt enough, fuck them, i would pick someone who wants, desires and is DESPERATE to represent their country.

I don't think they get "paid" to play as it goes to charity, or did this idea get squashed?

Coppell would hate the pressure, would crumble within months. Too fragile

LOL at Hiddink - think he might be a bit busy until mid 2008 and they can't put it off that long. Surely.

McClaren has failed but its way too short sighted (though probably more comforting) to heap it all on him. Over 50% of the goals conceded in that campaign were as a result of absolute shocking errors by individuals. Okay so he has power to remove them from the team (which he did with Robinson) but I personally can't hold managers responsible for players who are compotent acting like they are not.

When you look at the team that played on Wednesday half (literally) the players who played for us can't get in their clubs first eleven on a regular basis, which simply shows they aren't good enough.

Capello most likely i would guess. Hands off Shearer. Get your own hero and saviour!!

They can and they should wait. The end of major championships is when managers' contracts run out and they become available. So Engalnd may have a wider choice - there's no rush as World Cup Qualifying doesn't start till September.

Hands off Shearer. Get your own hero and saviour!!

I have been bemused by any 'Shearer for England' talk. Here is a man who has no managerial experience at all, and shows a shocking lack of insight in his TV summarising. He'd be a disaster.
