Crunch game versus the league leaders. I shot my mouth off in the week issuing a press release saying we were going to win, so it's a grudge match now!

They won the toss, I got them 14-2 but it's been ownhill since then and they are 141-2 off 30 overs and accelerating Sad

Playing a human side and when i was sifting thru the players he has chosen for the game i was pleased to see that the PFL levels for his 5 bowlers are:

drained
drained
drained
drained
drained

He appears to be playing batsmen with a decent PFL so i need to get a decent score to defend.

End of Over 34: 242-0, runrate=7.12
Lyon 7-0-45-0
Abel* 100 (103 balls)
Kirkland 129 (103 balls)

My openers are sharing the strike nicely and with the slogfest to come in the last 10 overs i am quietly confident that my current record of 375 in a one day game is going to be bettered Smiley

36.1 W Roberts to Kirkland
No need for the third umpire, Gammon has an arm like a cannon. Incredible throw.

Played a match and received £164015 in gate receipts.

They are batting End of Over 38: 170-7, runrate=4.47, hard and fast pitch, his bowlers are tired. I think I should be ok from here!

His best batsman is still in, I think I've only got him out once in the previous 3 games. He is too good!

End of Over 37: 246-0, runrate=6.65 .
Walton 7-1-25-0
Meyer* 99 (101 balls)
Hadland 143 (123 balls)

I'm happy to help!

I had a look through my transfers a while back and was surprised to see he hadn't been played!

End of Over 43: 187-10, runrate=4.35

LOL Grin

They got 255-9, Du Toit managed a hattrick - pity it was off the last three balls of the innings!!!

If I can see off their opening bowlers without losing more than a couple of wickets then I'm in among the low PFLs and quietly confident Smiley

I'm thinking that will be 200 too many for them on a cracked pitch

End of Over 50: 330-2, runrate=6.60
Khanya 10-0-56-0
Harris* 41 (32 balls)
Bowler 27 (24 balls)

Last Wicket: Hadland c. Griffiths b. Walton 155 (FOW: 274/2)

Top of the table clash! Playing the second place team, away from home.

Ruswarp Ponies won by 10 wickets.
Buckfast Bottlers   126-10
Ruswarp Ponies   128-0

I should be 6th in this league, but none of the other managers have got to grips with PFL. I have to be careful to avoid automatic promotion because, despite being top of the league, my squad is a middling div 5 outfit at best and I see no benefit in a season of humiliating hidings...

And that's the end of the match. Bigglesthwaite CC won by 9 wickets.
Lathams XI 187-10
Bigglesthwaite CC 188-1

Looks like the other 2 teams on the same points as me will win too, so will remain tied at the top.

GG chaps

163-3 off 25 here needing 256

Cohen is having a stormer. Tzaneen has just come in, if these two stick together I'll get the 93 needed before the 40th over is up Smiley

This was the first OD game at my newly expanded ground.

I made it 22500 capacity, attendance was: 22445.

So by the time the next home game comes around the ground will be too small, again!

Also got a proficient top order today too, as well as respectable spin and seam bowling!

Ton up for Cohen, nice knock for you Diva
