After 3 sheets of paper
,1 neighbour wanting baby first aid advice, and 3 children on half term(GRRRRRR) think I have an answer. I'll PM you it just in case it's correct so as not to spoil it for anyone still doing it.

How do you know you got it right?
In TightEnds OP he said.....
"Einstein wrote this quiz over one hundred years ago. He said that 98% of the people in the world cannot solve the quiz.
I cannot. I do not know the answer, or whether it is a trick question

so what's the answer then?! are you meant to work it out in the logic grid kinda fashion like the ones from the quiz books, or is it more subtle than that? come on giz-a-clue! pleeeeez

It can be done in about 3 mins using trial and error or about 15 using logic.

Once you've got the logic grid filled in - go through all the statements & make sure you've covered them all...

Logic grids are the only way you can make sure the answer is 100% correct with this sort of puzzle, NO HUMAN BRAIN, can solve this sort of puzzle without writing it down. And yes, that IS a FACT!
Simply write down everything on the grid you KNOW to be true, then work out the things like... Brit lives in the red house, so therefore he CANNOT live in the yellow, green... You know that the Dane drinks tea, so he DOES NOT drink coffee, beer, milk or water etc.
By reading through several times, marking off possibilities you get a good estimate, you then read the statement again against your answers, and if they all are true, you are correct!
Hope that makes some sort of sense.

Perfect sense, I used to be addicted to all those logic puzzle books with the grids.
I will have a crack at this later, please please don't post the answer just yet

I've only just spotted this thread, but my guess is that a little bit of algebra is going to come into play...
