Well what an evening/night/morning that was. What a magnificent club. Oh to be living back in Leicester and on the doorstep.
Travelled up with Dingdell and as is always the way with these things busted out early but thoroughly enjoyed watching her roller coaster ride to the runner up spot. Barry Nevilles face when our Trace calls his all in with A7 against his pair of 7's and then goes and spikes an Ace.It was also great to reunite with people I had not really seen this year obviously Chippie and I were bound to tangle and sure enough he knocked me out. Good player and great company.

This club is something special. If you have the opportunity to support it I would recommend that you do so. Why? Because they really cared about the players.

Moment of the night though was when Rob got to ban a well known Nottingham face. As Ken from the Gala at least I think it is the Gala, arrived at 3am to have a look round, Rob got all his Christmases at once in escorting him from the premises. I would suggest that the look on his face was a just a small repayment for all the pain that the casino groups put him through.

Thanks to all the team at DTD I had a great night and I will be going back the only question is when

It's funny because I have heard similar reactions from a lot of people.........all very curious. I don't know the guy but he has obviously upset quite a few people

Robs face was a picture! Nice to see Alistair and Nina from G casino Luton there - welcomed by Simon Trumper - Nina won her first ever live sit and go - her face was almost as delighted as Robs!!

after taking nearly 2 hours for what should have been about a 45 minute journey ,
i was thinking to myself ,i hope this is all worth it .
when i got to the doors my mouth dropped ,this was a wow factor .
this is the dogs nuts of a place ,out of all the places i have played in this is truly no 1.
it has to be seen to be believed .
when i entered the card room i was greeted by two women handing champers out .
the first person i bump into was rob ,got he looked a bit pale .
next was nick and aces and his wife all didn't seem to have two minutes to talk .
then i bumped into chubs the only one to have put weight on ,lol.
then there was danny behind the cash desk taking the buyins , hes lost weight to .
ill have to get a job here .
when the tourney got under way danny was back to what he is good at .
no expense spared here ,not only is the card room the best but the backbone of the staff is to .
as for the game i was like a yo yo.
got unlucky against tracy , and bubbled .
any way get here if you can and have a look for yourself .
just one idiot who had a little bit to drink but he was soon put in his place by nick.
i take my hat of to rob and all his staff ,this is what we've waited for so lets all support him ,
not just in the coming months ,but for as long as he decides hes had enough.

I SAY WELL DONE SIR ROB.
;thankyou;FOR LAST NIGHT  may there be many more.

Agree with everything you said Barry apart from being unlucky against me. As I said at the time I think a better player would have been able to fold to a reraise but I couldn't. I thought you had two picture cards to be honest so thought my A was good, didn't put you on a pair. I got lucky on the turn.

On the way home Snatty and I discussed the final few tables (to keep ourselves awake!) and agreed that your play had been outstanding and was a different class.

One of the reasons I will be returning to DTD again and again is to play against players much better than me to learn more. Last night was like playing in a poker academy, playing against players and watching and learning. Wonderful experience.

I think there was plenty of players last night could have learnt a thing or two from you last night Ding, you were tons better than most of the players out our first table.

Big Bazza bust me last night in the first (and hopefully last) Barry vs Barry hand at DTD.

Ha ha this made me laugh, my only real disappointment is that I missed it. Ken got exactly what he deserved.

Hi I was on the first table with you and Barry, well played !

Tell me.......when the flop came A A 10.......and you bet.....did you have the Ace ? I had the 10 and was thinking about putting you to a decision.

This was a hand I was involved in Tom - so the question still is "Did you have the ace?" Does the answer change now you know it was me that bet out?
