As you will all probably have heard on the news in recent days, Al Bangura is the Watford midfielder from Sierra Leone who is currently fighting a decision by the Immigration Office to deport him.

After seeing the moving scenes over the weekend at Vicarage Road, I would like to do my bit to give this young man the chance to stay in this country.

This government appears to think it is acceptable for every other Tom, Dick and Harry to come into our country, yet a young man with a huge talent, paying his taxes (and a lot of them) who considers this country to be his home is facing the prospect of being deported to a country where at best his great talent will go to waste, and at worst he may be murdered.

If you would also like to help Al Bangura stay in this country and contribute to the enjoyment of football fans and his local community please follow the following link and sign up to the petition. Please also make others aware and ask them to consider signing the petition.

see...I am very sympathetic to the cause..as I stated in another thread somewhere else..and yet people with good intentions (as you quite clearly are) still go with the Daily Mail approach to foreigners when you say "This government appears to think it is acceptable for every other Tom, Dick and Harry to come into our country"

Don't you think that's a bit strange?
