I am in the process of sorting out some rules for a Blonde Tipsters league. Ideally i would like to get two groups of 10 people. A Premiership, and Division 1.

Whilst I am in the process could you please put down on here which of you would be interested in this?

You would play for 9 weeks at a time, making 6 selections per week from selected weekend meetings, 1 v 2, 3 v 4, etc... The winner of the fixture will get 3 points, Draw 1 point and loss 0 points.

You obviously play eachother only once and there will be a relegation/promotion format as well as the Premiership winner being crowned Blonde Tipster Champion.

Who's up for the challenge?

put me in the premier league and I'll approve the T-Shirts

seriously, put me where you like

from the 6 tips versus opponents six picks, I assume its net profit to a unit stake to decide the winner, not number of correct picks?

Not based on correct picks no, but not based on net profit either... Give me two minutes and i can post the rules..

Also, the deciding of which league you go in will be completely random and hopefully after 2/3 seasons we will have people about right.

Ok, Rules... If you have any queries or see any mistakes let me know...

1.0 League Divisions - Each League (Division) is made up of a total of 10 players (depending on interest) - as more players join, new Divisions are created.  Each player plays 9 matches per league season.
2.0 Matches
2.1 League matches are held on Saturday which lasts for 9 matches (9 weeks).
2.1.1  During major race festivals (such as Cheltenham Festival, Aintree Grand National Meeting, Royal Ascot), League meetings will take place on consecutive days until the end of the festival. May be changed at chairmans discretion.
2.2 The Racetrack for which match selections need to be made by players is published on the website at least 48 hours before each matchday and is decided by the League Chairman.
2.2.1 Upto Three Racetracks will be chosen, from which you can chose any 6 horses from any 6 races.
3.0 Selections - Each matchday players should post there picks on the appropriate thread at least 1 hour before their first race commences. Any editing of their post after this time and selections could be void and match forfeited at the discretion of the league chairman.
4.0 Scoring - Players score "Goals" according to the performance of each of there 6 selections on each matchday with goals awarded according to the odds of winning and placed horses as follows.
4.1 Winning selections score goals according to their final starting prices as follows:
Odds On - score 2 goals
Evens to 9/2 - score 3 goals
5/1 or more - score 4 goals
10/1 or more - score 5 goals
20/1 or more - score 6 goals
4.2 Placed selections score goals according to their final starting prices as follows:
Odds On - score 0 goals
Evens or more - score 1 goal
10/1 or more - score 2 goals
20/1 or more - score 3 goals.
5.0 Results - After all 6 races have been run on matchday each players match result is declared and points awarded in the league table accordingly, (3 pts for a win, 1 pt for a draw, 0 pt for a loss).
Players are shown in the league table, according to the following order of priority:
5.1 Total Points attained;
5.2 Total Goals scored (for);
5.3 Goal Difference;
5.4 Goals Conceded (against);
5.5 Result between players involved
5.6 Alphabetical Order by username
6.0 Promotion & Relegation
6.1 At the end of each season (9 matches) the top winner of Premiership is crowned Champion Tipster of Blonde, with the bottom player in the Premiership being automatically relegated, places 7, 8, and 9 all playoff against each other in the fight for survival – the lowest scoring player of that weekend will go down too. The winner of Division 1 is automatically promoted to the Premiership, with the bottom 2nd 3rd and 4th place having a playoff against each other, with the person with the most points out of their 6 selections going up to the Premiership. The same will rules will apply if more Divisions are added due to more interest.
7.0 New Players - Players can join "Tipster League" prior to the start of a new season (but not during a season in progress), so the longest period you would have to wait is 9 weeks to join.
8.0 Through The Card - Any Tipster League player which goes though the card by correctly selecting all 6 race winners on any matchday during the season is gets 10 bonus points on his score.
9.0 Place Terms - In determining the goals scored for win and placed selections (see rule 4.2) the following place terms apply according to the number of runners in the race:
2-4 runners - only the Winner scores goals;
5-7 runners - Winner, and 2nd place score goals;
8 or more runners - Winners, 2nd, and 3rd place score goals;
16 or more runners (in handicaps only) - Winner, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place score goals
10.0 Abandoned & Postponements
10.1 In the event of at least 4 races taking place on matchday then the match results will be scored based on the four races held, with selections on the remaining race all being void. If 3 or more selections from either players picks have been abandoned then the whole tie is void and your fixture will take place on another date.
11.0 Starting Prices - For the purposes of goal scoring (see rule 4.0 above) the official returned starting price is used to determine the number of goals scored by each horse in the 6 races.
12.0 Dead Heats - In the event of a dead heat for either Win or place the full number of goals will be scored by those horses involved in the dead heat with no deductions applied to the returned starting prices.
13.0 Non Runners - In the event of any of a players horses becoming Non-Runners then the players non runner selection will be replaced with the race favourite. In the event of joint or co favourites being returned then the Joint/Co favourite with the lowest starting number (1,2,3 etc) is deemed the favourite.

If you want to begin in Division 1 then please say and you will be put there... Otherwise random draw will take place for further spaces.
