Did u really give that up? For nothing? because of work? Ur crazy ffs life's too short to give up that kind of opportunity.

I have a wife and a mortgage, mate..didn't really have much of a choice here. If I had been single I would have gone but I have responsibilities to others than myself so the choice was simple.

(((((((((Boring)))))))))))

couldnt u have transferred it to another comp?

Live for the moment, you could have got a new job, told them you had holidays and just fucked off.

No stars didn't want to/couldn't do anything to help me out. Wasn't too pleased with any of it to be honest but the rules are the rules and Stars rules clearly state you have to take the first package and nothing can be done.

Most new employers ask if one has any holidays booked.

Yeah that was the point I was making, least that way he can inform them he has a holiday so they know he is going to be off.  If your good enough at the job and have the right qualities then in my experience employers try their best to accommodate all holidays.

They had no choice. I joined a company that was in a world of shit and all the dead lines ended at Christmas. It's also a small company that relies on this project and if they hadn't met these deadlines they would almost surely have gone belly-up.  Like i said, I would have chucked the job if I didn't have responsibilities but the company definetely couldn't do without me for a week at that time.

OUCH!  Didn't realise you couldn't make it Boldie, unlucky mate, but like you said, if nothing can be done than that's just life.

Sorry you missed out, you did so well to win the seat in the first place.  Just a shame it didn't work out different.

Can you not sell the seat?   Not package, just the enterance money?  You'd prob need to speak with the casino and to get it changed and it may be a pain to do so, but it's just an idea.     I expect you've thought of millions of possibilities so far!
