Wow, just looked at that piccy, he looks so bloated on it.

We fetched Reece out of hospital last night and he is again here with us. He is on a strong antibiotic called Metronidazole, I am giving him this every 8 hours on an empty tummy,  this should kill any infection that he may have in his tummy, although he has not had any tests for it but it is suspected that is what is causing the loss of appetite and bloatedness. Also he is having a barium meal tomorrow to see if there is a blockage or not. He looks quite drawn again but has managed to eat his boiled egg and 2 toast, plus asked for a pkt of plain crisps, which he is allowed, and ate them asking for another packet which I have refused. I so want to give them him but hope he will get hungry again ready for lunch. At least he is starting to want to eat a little bit again. I have put in a meal drink into his tummy but do not want him to get too bloated. A little worrying is that he is sniffling a lot today, and feels a little cold, the cold feeling may be due to him losing weight, hope so and not the dreaded flu, I guess I am looking too deep as so scared.

All the best for the brave little man's speedy recovery. Disney is a great antibiotic.

Tx,

The Disney dvd was the one of the theme parks. He has had a good day all in all. Ate well for me including a good dinner, then I was off to work and he has eaten well for Darren too. Set alarm for 4 am to get his antibiotic into him, then he can not eat or drink after 7 am in prep for his barium meal. That is going to be awful for him. He has had one before but how the hell we will get him to swallow it who knows. He is also quite thirsty at the moment so no drinks will also be a testing time.

Wonderful news today. Mauereen is a bit pulled out, but I know she won't mind me sharing this Text she sent me.

"Reece has no blockage, so therefore these antibiotics will work. He is getting his appetite back. Also the test showed there is more bowel to operate on if needed in future. Happy Days".

There you go. This lad just fights & fights & fights. It'll always be uphill & into the wind for him, but he'll be alright.

He's an inspiration to us all, & as big a man as any.
