The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

I've spoken to Maureen mid-morning, & the news is mixed.

He is MUCH better, the re-hydration is working, & he's speaking again, his eyes are not so sunken, & his head pains - caused by constant vomiting & dehydration, it's assumed - are much better.

He is in an isolation ward, not because he is contagious, but to protect him from infection by others. and therein lies the problem. His current crisis appears to have been caused by yet another infection he has somehow picked up.

He is prone to infection, as his immune system is poor, at best, so if anything is going round, he will get it, & as he does not absorb nutrients & vitamins from his food (it is only within him for 60 to 90 minutes, even when he eats), it's a vicious circle.

Anyway, the rehydration - medically, very simple to treat - has gone well -  but that still leaves his long-term problem to be addressed.

On Wednesday, his weight was 13.5k, on Thursday it was 12.5k, & this morning, on admittance to Hossie, it was 11.5k. That's the problem - how to stop that trend. I'm not sure how old he is - 3, going on 4? - but that seems very light to me.

Some of that loss would be down to dehydration, vomiting, etc, but he still needs to find a way to first stop the weight loss - Mo says he is "skin & boine" - & then start getting weight back on.

There you go, you know as much as me now.

Red is trying to give some moral support to Mo, & I know Maureen really - really - takes strength from your vibes on this thread. So keep them coming, please.
