Temp is still up, he has been awake but can't do a lot. The possible cause of the temp could be the epidural may have got infected so we are just waiting on the lady that put it in to come see him. He may have to have it removed and go onto just morphine which will be such a shame.

Dongle strength not that fantastic in here. So hit n miss what I type.

Been a tough morning for our wee man.  This morning his stats were low and they were waiting on the doc to suss out what the trouble is.

Since then have received a text from Mo to say 'They have just brought the mobile xray to bed as they think a lung may have part collapsed.'

He's seen better days.  Cyber hugs and good vibes on the way.  xx

Another long day for the hero. Epidural has had to come out, but the morphine is still going on plus lots of other things to fight infections and relieve pain etc. Still nil by mouth, has been since Monday. He is only allowed the sponge lolly dipped in sterile water to wet his mouth.

He is struggling with his breathing, but the xray does not show the suspected collapsed lung but does show some shadow which could be the on set of an infection so that will be kept an eye on. He is as comfy as can be expected but we did get a smile today as a magician came to put on a little show for him at his bed. It hurt him to lol, so he did have to keep looking away in case he lol'd too much.

Anyway, another day over, fingers crossed he shows more improvement tomorrow. We are now home and Stacey has returned to sleep the night with him after her having a rest afternoon at home.

Tx, he is improving just slowly, but early days yet. We hoped today we would see more improvement but then we have to think he is only 5 days post op so is doing remarkably well, just hurts like heck to see him in pain.
