Still nothing has started to grow in his blood cultures so they are pretty sure it is viral. Swabs taken for his swine flu test, just a waiting game now. His temp still loitering around 38, so not too bad. IF it doesn't go higher again and he doesn't get any worse in himself , plus after tomorrow morning his cultures are still clear they may allow him home for xmas pending Swine Flu results. Lots of IF's but at least there may be a chance of having him home yet.
We still can not believe after all this time of being hossy free it has to come now.

Blood cultures have come back clear so no dreaded line infection. Swine flu results not yet in but his temp has been normal all night and he is in good playful spirits. Therefore they are allowing him home, IF results from swine flu are not ready then he will commence Tamiflu IF results are negative before they leave the hossy then no Tammy Flu just home. So phew... that was a close call.
