Womble down to the felt but I promised him that my arrival at his table would change all that......hold your breath......drum roll.......

Womble in small blind - lots of verbal going on between Des Jonas and matey boy with a fantasticly strong welsh accent - threatening to take Des Jonas out of the comp - as they have some history and he wants to take him out on his own home ground.

Des Jonas calls blind so he can play against matey boy. Matey boy folds (sigh - what a damp sqib that threat was)

Womble checks. Flop is  two hearts

and Womble in SB goes all in. Des calls "sick call" he says. Womble has    Des has

Board comes:  and Woble doubles up.......Another service gladly provided by Blonde poker.

Table Womble - 2 lovely players from Liverpool with very strong scouse accents - having a conversation that I just couldn't follow - if they were playing in Vegas I'm sure by now they would have been told "English only at the table".

Womble on the button looking a lot better now with 11,000.

Romanello - two before Wombles button raises to 1100. One before the button goes all in for 2670.
Romanello doesn't have to spend much time dwelling - he folds - trying to justify his fold with a sage "You have a really massive hand - i am probably dominated"

27 players remaining - ave chips 17,222

Blinds 200/400 with ante of 50.

It's grinding time for a few players now.

Table Jackson/Nowab - and the boys are getting feisty - jackson raises and Nowab calls in the blinds. Board comes  three diamonds  three clubs. Jackson bets and Nowab calls with the 4 but Jackson had  .

They are having a great time and laughing all the way - it's like watching an edition of cash poker. You would never think they are playing for a first prize of £11,470

Table Wernick - big hand between Pete Linton and Rana Gurnam from Cardiff.

Flop goes    Pete bets 2075 into a pot of 3500. Rana calls.

Turn  . Rana bets 4k leaving him 9925 behind. Pete calls.

River   . Rana goes all in for his 9925. Pete calls, insta mucks when he sees Rana's  .

Nice pot for Rana.

During all this Lord Wernick is trying to push the action on. As Rana dwells after the turn Lord W is asking "Who's it on?" just to get everything moving - it works - Rana made his move.

Another tip from the Lord.

We took a wander to get some chip counts and caught the tail end of the following hand between Richard Berridge and Micky Wernick

The board AK68K.

Berridge had bet the river and Micky raised. After a bit of a dwell Berridge passes saying he was giving Micky respect and shows AQ.

Micky shows 1 card... an 8!

Also saw Raj Dhiri treble up with A9 v K8 v Rag 3 (maybe a 7 or 10!), he hit his 9 and the rest of the board was blank. On 9k, his highest all night!

Counts:
Richard Berridge 42k
Pat Kelley 46k
Raj Dhiri 9k
Ben Callinan 40k
Hongji Liu 14k
Imran McKenzie 14k
Micky Wernick 36k
Stephen Walmsley 11k

And as I was typing this Raj doubles up again with A9 v A10, so must be on 18k or so now!
