Red reports some continual confrontation between Paul Jackson and Daniel Cochrane - latest coup - board  Two Diamonds   three diamonds  Daniel bets 750 and Paul folds - Daniel shows a full wilson with  .

The full wilson retains its notoriety - two players immediately identified it by name.

Ironside is down to 1,700 chips

Lost 800 with 77 Versus A2 on a 2 2 4 6 A board

Lost 600 on the button with a pair of tens

Lost 3,600 when the bb with AA didn't raise pre-flop and Iron called him down all the way with second pair on a King high board when Iron did not believe his opponent had a King

Ironside was correct

so........

More action on Table Red/Jackson.

Board is  two spades two spades . Dave Smith bets 1500. Player to his left - we think Stuart Pearson reraises to 3000. He has 2500 behind.
Dave Smith immediately reraises to put Stuart all in. After a dwell Stuart folds for his last 2500 - pot was almost 7000. Dave Smith shows .

There is a lot of game on that table - probably one of the tougher but most interesting tables - some of the play elsewhere has been that of a one day comp with players calling with Queen high for 30% of their remaining stack. This is definitely a sit back and let them knock themselves out comp to a certain extent.

As an aside - just heard one table discussing the fact that one player went out within 4 minutes. Someone asked "Is Tikay playing then"  Never ends....

Yet more action on table Red/Jackson. Just as Red and I are discussing Ed Giddens choice of venue for his third date. Red is in BB with rags. Raise from seat 5. reraised all in from seat 6. All pass apart from seat 5 who calls for all his chips.

Seat 5     Seat 6

Board comes  two hearts - no help to the original raiser and anoher one bites the dust.

Team trumper has voiced his concern that this may turn into a 1 day comp - not by design but through lack of remaining players. Field is slightly lower than expected - down to Bahamas who have claimed players such as Thewy and the Irish Poker Championships in Galway who have claimed such players as Mick McCool.

Team trumper already looking forward to next month - and so am I - if I can get a sattelite to this I will - it's a great competition - i am green with envy that these guys are playing.

Simon Nowab has 12,000
Cardiff's Rana Gurnam has 23,000 and sits two to the left of Rberto Romanello, much speech play afoot there

Jamie Moult, bookiebasher on blonde, struggling somewhat with 4,200

Monster hand alert

I only joined proceedings to witness a board that read

There must have been an inordinate amount of slow playing going here

Howard Plant checked the river

Stacie Coore dwelled, and I caught sight of his cards when he took a "hmm,  I am not sure where I am, honest" peek

He had

and eventually threw in his last 3,200 into a 8,000 or so pot

Howard sensed something was up, but called..knowing he was beat..with

speaking to Howard now our exchange went as follows

Me "you are lucky still to be in, that was a nasty hand"

Howard "I'm a good player, me"

Me.....silence

Howard "he raised pre-flop,  i flat called, we both checked the flop, he flat called when I raised him on the turn despite being quite short and once he bet on the end I knew he could only do so with AA,KK or AK. I should have passed",

Jamie Moult is OUT to Greek Jack AK versus QQ

Pete Linton going great guns with 30k+

Rchard Berridge called a raise in the bb

the flop came

Unsurprisingly, given that he held  , he won the hand after extracting two bets out of  .

He now has 23,000

blinds are 100-200 for another 8 minutes and 43 players remain, now on 5 tables

Following on from the Wernick curtsey there is a bit of Karma.   Lord Wernick in a hand - board is  Two Diamonds . Checked to Lord W who bets 1500. All fold to the BB who bets all in - Lord W insta folds. Hands in till?

Another table Wernick hand -

Lord W on button flat calls. No raise from BB - Tim Blake.

Flop    All check.  Turn  . SB bets 200, BB calls, Lord W raises to 1100 very firmly - chips banging onto table.

All insta fold - Lord W has spoken.

This trend continues - Lord W has learnt that a 1200 bet wins at the moment and repeats this move the very next hand with 5 people in the pot - they all fold.  Great when you know the level that scares people.

Nowab chipped up - about 15000 (ave 10k)  Sitting at other end to Mickey, Simon has the ice bucket and a bottle of champagne by his side enjoying the high life.

A few more chip counts - Des Jonas 9200,  Up the Mariners 9500.

Suitably refuelled Red raises 2 seats after the blinds to 1500.  (blinds 150/300)

Folds to BB who is torn between calling and playing his hand and starrting his burger and chips that is cooling nocely by his side. He has 6500 in chips. I think Red may have raised his blind before. "I can't keep passing" he warns Red as he ......erm......passes.  Red wins a few more chips to boost his 7k stack.

Dave Smith offers to tell me how many chips he's got. It's alright I tell him I've counted them. "How many have I got then?" he challenges me.

"I've rounded it down to 14000" I tell him. he counts his chips - "Not bad" he acknowledges "I've got 14250. I should remember never to argue with a woman"

A little late but a lesson well learnt!   He is such a lovely man - though that hat puts the fear of god in me - when ever I see it it represents a winning player to me and I start doubting my hands.

Tighty smiling inanely - just got a norkage pic and he's very pleased with himself!!
