Dissapointing Sharky, personally I'll try the virgin sat's.

Looks like a great weekend in Newcastle, would hate to miss as it's only a couple of hours drive from sunny Glasgow.

For anybody who was wondering a seat was awarded to 8th(Morlspin) but not 9th(Me).

Figure that one out!

"Shall we go with the Terms displayed in the TOURNAMENT INFO box or the ones in the PRIZE STRUCTURE tab?"

"I know let's go somewhere in between."

didnt they offer you 2 free entries into final qualifiers on Virgin Sharky ??

Yes, but that's not a seat in the festival. In fact it's only 20% of the value of a seat plus the added hassle of having to try to qualify again!

Well, I have been asked to post this by Virgin, so here goes

"For the previous Festival we allowed a couple of seats to be transferred between players on forums because they couldn’t make it. The seats were passed on for cost (£105) to genuine fellow forum members and it didn’t cause any problems.

For that reason we said earlier this morning that we’d allow the same thing to happen for our Newcastle festival in April. Unfortunately, due to the great demand for seats, this decision has now created a black market for tickets with players looking to make a profit by selling their seats on. This isn’t in the spirit of fun and enjoyment that we are trying to create at the Virgin Festivals and therefore we are going to have to take away the option for players to exchange names on seats.

As close partners of Virgin we’re prepared to allow your forum members the ability to give their seat to a fellow forum member on the below conditions:

-          There is a genuine reason why they can’t make it.

-          It’s transferred to a genuine fellow forum member.

-          Both of the above are validated by either you or another known forum mod.

-          The price paid for the seat is not in excess of £105.

Clearly even this is open to the prospect of abuse but as we’ve worked closely with your forum for some time I hope your members will respect that. Any players found to be abusing it will have £105 returned to their account and the main event seat withdrawn.

Sorry for having to send out such a formal e-mail but we want to nip this in the bud straight away before more bad feeling is caused.

If you wish to publish any or all of this on your forums to clear the situation up with your members then that is fine.

Regards,

Joe"

Just to clarify.

Did morlspin get Richs seat?

Was it 1 in 5 that won a seat?

Are there any more Blonde only sats planned?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the quick response Rich but

1 Whats happening with that seat

2 Can we have this resolved for any future sats so that we are clear before the start & all the confusion can be avoided.

Cheers

1 RichEO's seat cannot be transferred for profit as per the email from Virgin above. If he is playing the event or not I don't know..up to him. If he does transfer, then rules as per that email including verification that its to another forum member, by me.

2 Yes, I have fed that back to Virgin already..they made a mistake, have apologised for that and hopefully no confusion next time if we are fortunate enough to be offered the chance to run more for the blondes

Just to-reiterate, any blondes willing to 'transfer' their seat, i'd be more than willing to accomodate.

I would hope that ANY blonde who was going to "transfer" their seat would give Sharky first offer.

Quite right as well. I'm just posting publicly my desire to attend the event and pay for a ticket.
