So there I was with a really good poker week mapped out........
Weds night EPT Dortmund last chance qualifier......In this baby for just $109
Thurs Night £250 at Luton
Saturday night Sky with the lovely Julie Holness

Had a good morning yesterday achieved lots but by 2.30 pm doubled up in pain with my stomach in all sorts of spasm...........Mrs. Snat drags me down to docs (2nd time in 14 years, hate the place) who pokes me in all the places it hurts already and tells me that I have a viral infection of the bowel and prescribes some wonder drug.

Got up this morning feeling a bit washed out but will make a decision as to whether I will go to Luton at about 6pm. And the upside to all of this........I am now going back to bed

Running to the doctors every 7 years... What a wuss!

Yeah, no wonder his kids are looking to Phill Mitchell for some hard man inspiration Wink

Thursday 24th January £250 + £25 - No limit holdem - one rebuy or one add on.

Starts at 8pm

2 day event

6000 chips, during rebuy period which is first 2 levels a one hour clock. After that 45 minutes.

Running antes.

Friday 25th January £500 + £50 no limit holdem freezeout

Starts at 8pm

2 day event

10,000 chips, 45 minute clock

running antes

Saturday 26th January £750 + £50 no limit holdem double chance

Starts at 8pm

2 day event

7500 + 7500 chips   1 hour clock

Running antes

So tonight assuming you add on you'll be paying £525 for 12K chips? Friday it's £550 for 10K chips. Sat it's £800 for 15K and a longer clock.

Seems like tonight is the one to play.

There is a FREE BUFFET (ooooo!) at 6.30 pm until 7.30 pm tonight. The Tourney starts at 8pm.

How many runners? No idea, though I'm not optimistic, what with the Brighton clash, & lack of publicity. But those that do show up will have a good time. The Valets are now plentiful, beautiful, & drinkiiful. They no longer have the music "turns" during the week, & extra Dealers have been trained up. And it's the UK's most spacious cardroom, with room to wander around at will, & plenty of room between tables.

Good Luck all who sail, or even rail, in her.

And Nina deserves for it to go well, she's worked so hard, & along with her Staff, been subjected to horrific personal abuse by those who shoiuld know better. There ARE problems there, but they are NOT of the Staff's making, & yet they get called idiots. But the promised steady imprivements are coming along nicely, & I'm delighted for the long-suffering Staff. Why it's necessary to publically abuse these Staff mystifies me, (it's probably because they are not permitted to respond - so a soft target). The sooner other Venues follow the DTD "if you wanna get arsey with us, you are out of here" line the better.

I'm just out of bed, & grumpy. Can you tell?

It cannot be denied by any right-thinking individual that Luton G HAS improved a lot - but still needs to improve further in some aspects. The long-awaited & much delayed arrival of the new CardRoom Manager shouild put the finishing touches to the ground work that has been done.

If the money is paid, it will, as promised, be given to a local Charity.

It was actually a decent turn-out. Better than I expected it would be, at any rate.

The cash game action was good, too.

We had six tables, so if I recall it was about 48 ish.

I know the prizepool was just under 20k.
