all that muscle and a 2" willy ... there is a god Cheesy

Now that made me LOL
silly question.

if dtd's tournies start at 7-8 ish whats to stop the blonde tourny starting midday-ish??

That IMO is a very good idea...surely half the field would be gone by 8pm and they could play DTDs regular saturday nights game.

Tony I know in previous posts you have said that Blonde Bashes are expensive to run...could I be so bold as to ask why? I know I asked this before but dont think I got an answer (or maybe missed it). Do you have to hire out the cardroom for the evening? Pay for the buffet? or what? Im just curious as to why it would cost so much.

If its the buffet I know I would be happy to buy my own food...if its hiring the room then couldnt we all just pay the normal rake?

I know I wouldnt want Blonde to be out of pocket for arranging a live tourney as they are so much fun.

Suzanne, the cost usually runs into four figures

why? any or all of (it varies from event to event):

trophies, buffet, tournament entries for "clients" who play, hire of a room for the quiz, tournament registration fees

Some bbs we've negotiated free buffets, some we haven't managed too

Same for reg fees

etc etc

I can't imagine anyone on here who would begrudge paying a fiver towards the costs of the above

I didn't realise it was rake free for us because Blonde paid the rake, I assumed the casino waived it as you were guaranteeing 200+ people through the doors.

I'd be happy to stump up for the rake and pay for my dinner etc, I just want to come along to play a good fun event with all my fellow blondites, wherever it is.

just to clarify, it depends on venue. Most waive reg, but not all. Most waive buffet charge, but not all.

At every bb to date we've paid for at least some of the services provided

Not complaining about it, just stating. These things have therefore, to date, needed budgetting and negotiation!

Rich Im sure if there was any costs that would see blonde out of pocket we could all chip in a bit extra as Claire said.

Brighton seems popular but I would also love an excuse to go back to Edinburgh...12 years is a long time to go without a mince pie supper with BROWN sauce ;-)

Cardiff cost me a few hundred to get to and another few hundred for a hotel for me and the Mrs, I don't ussually do that for a 50£ tourney. If Blonde were to charge a registration fee for anything I would be more than happy to pay it.

Im hoping for manchester, have a girl up there im dying to have an excuse to go and see.

Plus, yes, id be more than happy to pay rake/food an extra tenner or so which your on about a 500 quid wknd isnt really gonna break the bank.

Plus i have no other really gripes about where it is gnna be held, was in my local last time so if its brighton or newcy, aint gonna make a lot of diff to me as its 5.5 hours to either, greaaaaatttt!

DTD would be great for ease of access to strippers a good drinking venue

That hurts.  You also got to sit next to me, but you only mention him.
