JULIE ‘JOOBIE538' HOLNESS - SKY POKER PLAYER

You may recognise Julie from one of our ‘My Name' videos. Julie was lucky enough to win a radio competition into our Sky Live Bristol Tournament. Since then Julie has really taken to the game of poker and has been playing on our site ever since. After 30 odd emails requesting to appear on the show we finally buckled and invited her on. Julie is 25 years old and works as a Sales Rep in Weston Super-Mare. Since her induction into the world of Poker she has employed the services of Phil Cooklin to teach her the ins and outs of the game. After playing a few sit ‘n' go's (and winning some) she has now progressed onto Multi Table Tournaments and the Open. Even though her Open performances aren't great she did manage to finish 5th in an MTT freeroll.

Julie is so engrossed in the game of Poker she watches it on TV almost every day. She loves the American shows and her dream is to play in the WSOP Main Event against her hero Daniel Negreanu. Let's hope Julie can increase her bankroll tonight as she plays live in the studio.

PHIL COOKLIN - POKER PLAYER

Phil is an Occupation Sales director by day and a poker pro by night. He is a regular player at the Grosvenor Casinos in Luton and The Victoria in London, as well as playing major events around the country. Phil believes the best piece of poker advice is "always keep analysing your game". Phil is also one of more regular faces on Sky Poker. He has appeared on the show a massive 5 times, he joined us at our Sky Live Bristol Tournament and you can see him regularly on our Poker Dictionary videos.

Tonight Phil joins Julie, his poker apprentice. Let's see if the novice can beat the master tonight.

Err.....I'm not entirely sure I could refer to any young lady as an "extremely fit bird", but yes, she's one & the same. A very pleasant young lady too, if I may say so.
