With only 137 players left, it's not quite looking like the 7am-er that we were reckoning earlier.  I am going to guess at a 3am finish.  Just to give myself a goal - to receive ordered hamburger before that time.

Padraig Parkinson. He moved as I took the picture......

He don't look too happy, & he's not. He said he'd been given a table of miserable gits.

Here's another of the "bad-beat" team. Can anyone name him?

El Blondie OUT - following a raise to 2k from mid position (the blinds are 300 - 600 ante 75) he pushed all-in from the small blind with  .  He got a pretty quick call from  Ah , which hit both pairs on the flop to send him (graciously) from the tournament.  As a helpful observer on the table observed, "you've got to win those races to win tournaments."

Normally helpful to say to someone....."You might want to go to casualty to get that broken nose seen too...." Wink

Welcome Maharajah, glad you are enjoying it. We WILL keep going til the end, though I need to go & register at oir Hotel, or else we will get locked oit. It's in Ballsbridge, which I'm told is not too far, so sometime soon, I'll pop across there & leave Jen here solo. She'll cope OK, no worries.

Here's yet ANOTHER "bad-beat" team member, there are 5 or 6 here, this is John Conroy, aka PunkFloyd. He's a Livetpool supporter.

Tikay -- What the European venues lack in space they more than make up with class and character. The major American tourneys are becoming so big they can only be held in ballrooms -- and where's the fun in that? (The biggest exception is Bellagio in Las Vegas, which hosts tournaments in their gorgeous Fontana Lounge overlooking the famous water fountains.)

I'm the lead tournament reporter for Card Player, but I've been following your coverage of the big European events recently. Tournament poker reporting is still growing, and it's interesting to see how others tackle the same problems that all poker journalists are faced with. Plus, I'm trying to improve my knowledge/recognition of the best European players, who often play in WPT and WSOP events over here. It's only fair that Europeans should be able to follow our coverage of big American events and hear how their home-grown players are doing, right?

Right now I've got American football on TV (Georgia v. Florida), and EPT Dublin coverage on the computer. Not bad for a Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas!

Besides, it's always fun to root for Isabelle. And don't let her late arrival fool you -- I have it on good authority that she is focused and ready to win! Smiley

(FYI, I only signed up as a member after you said it was necessary to view photos -- I was wondering why I couldn't see anything! I think you should mention that at the beginning of each tourney, just in case there are others like me.)
