A striker who Sven thinks is 'not as good' as Darius Vassell or Emile Mpenza - what does that tell you?
Probably still good enough to score against Gretna or Falkirk, though.

I think its a good signing Rod, the guy had a great record before moving to City and its easy for players not to settle when they move at a young age. He does strike me as someone that needs an arm around him and some cajoling but he is an International striker and will deffo do well for Celtic.

He's 6ft 4. So not sure Strachan will be doing much cuddling. He can't be any worse than JVoH so its got to be an improvement. |

I am a Celtic fan and i dont think any Celtic fan will be happy way this loan deal imo they always take the cheap option and its very frustrating as a supporter

I dont know exactly what the deal entails Mick as I havent yet read up on it but taking players on loan with a view to siging them later is a great idea for me. The team taking the player dont have to pay til later and the team laoning the player get his wages off their books for the rest of the season. If the guy turns out to not settle and be no good you can send him back. If he turns out to be golden then you get him for a fee that you agreed months earlier. |

According to reports the fee's agreed, so the boy's playing for his transfer for the rest of the season. Not too much downside in that for Celtic. |
