Taximan, I think the problem was that one huge animated shuffling thing you had in your sig which slowed down everyone's computers.

Personally, I think huge graphics in sigs make forums look ultra messy - there's no need for them, and they can screw up the forum.

Point taken, and it was removed as soon as I was made aware of the problem. (if that was the said cause of the problem), I believe it wasn't affecting everyone's. I am still trawling through removing pics, not being technically minded or au fait with computers I feel its best to remove all then I hope everyone will be happy again.

Don't remove them all Taximan - you'll just ruin some of the threads as there are good pics very pertinent to the discussions.

Where there are pictorial 'comments' - you might want to link to smaller versions if you can.

It's fine for me.  I would like to have a tiny mini whinge about people posting lots of pics though - if I'm doing a bit of sneaky browsing at work it's bad as our internet usage is monitored by the amount of data downloaded. 

Jane, could you let me know how to block signature images, and is it possible to block other images embedded in to threads?

I don't think anyone is upset or offended, and it's no big deal - if it was I'd have said something before, just thought I'd mention it as the subject had come up! Facebook is by far the biggest culprit in that respect anyway!

I feel it was directed at me personally as I am well aware I probably post more pics than most.(if it wasn't i would be very interested to know who it was aimed at).

I am not so articulate when it comes to expressing myself in words (should have gone to school more often), so I find pics help me.

it wasn't directed at anyone personally - there have been lots of threads with pics in lately (I've posted a fair few myself).  I certainly never said I thought anyone should delete pics, which is why I asked if there was an easy way to block them from my computer.  It's not that I don't like looking at them, just trying to stop myself getting into doodoo at work

I agree, the only problem I've ever had with images is those shuffling cards. Pictorial communication is fine with me as I'm a visual kind of person too. A picture can speak a thousand words:)
