Hopefully my Celtic brothers can be a bit less bias now that he isn't a Rangers player.

He's better now than he was a year ago. I doubt anyone could suggest a better right back eligible for the Scotland team. Quick, athletic and better going forward than back.
Will be interesting to see how EPL refs react to his 'enthusiastic' tackling style, and patented 'run really fast then fall over when someone sneezes' method of winning free kicks.
Is he worth £8m or £9m? Rangers have already answered that by changing the locks at Ibrox when he nipped out for a packet of crisps, then kidnapping his dog til he put pen to paper in London

well i'm a celtic fan and i cant stand the ugly fecker but he is a very good footballer imo.
he's proved himself at international level with great performances againgst Italy and France , he actually gave Zambrotta a nightmare at Hampden ,
obviously unproven in the PL but i think he has the quality to be a good solid attacking right back for Spurs
and im personally glad he's left Rangers

If he settles (doubtful as he didn't particularly want to go but our **** of a chairman as good as forced him out the door) and reproduces the form he has been showing over the past 12months and continues to develop then you will have a helluva player on your hands. You would struggle to find a player who has made a bigger improvement in the past 12months anywhere. He is a phenomenal athlete who will still be bombing forward in the 90th minute, strong in the tackle, good in the air and very effective at running at pace with the ball from deep, his positional sense has improved a lot as well. He has also saved his best performances for the big games, Old firm games, France v Scotland, Scotland v Italy and CL games.

I'd agree with Bazza...IF the guy continues to show the form. I am ussually not too keen on players who magically improve and they play well for one season..I'd like to see them do wel over several seasons before paying 10 mill

I would have told him to fuck right off, he pissed us about and used us to try and get better offers elsewhere.
Obv I hope he does good for us, but he will need to do extra good to make up for the shoddy way his move came about.

What happens to Chimbonda? 1st season he was voted EPL RB. Then last season he was voted Spurs 2nd best player after Berbatov and Chelsea offered £12million - now?
LOL, just checked my gmail and this was one of the ads: The Sun - Sports News -
www.thesun.co.uk
- Keegan asks for £100m and gets new director of football instead
Awesome.

Kev, did he really put off the move to try get better offers? I thought he really didn't want to leave Scotland.
It's a big ask and alot of £ for a Scottish defender.

I don't really think he did - think he was determined to stay and pretty much had to be forced out.
Oh, and while he's improved as the others say, I'd be concerned that the current drive against 2 footed tackles in the EPL could cause him problems.

I think Chimbonda is awful and this seems to be a good signing for Spurs from what I have seen of him (which isnt alot TBH)
Also Woodgate is a good signing and if he and King can both stay fit with Hutton at RB and Bale/Gilberto at LB Spurs defence should improve massively, although at times this season it couldnt of got any worse.
As much as it hurts to say it I can see spurs climbing the table in the remaining months of the season, I now think they will finish about 9th
.
On a side issue where the fuck to Spurs get their money from if I am correct they have spent more money in the last 12 months than anyone. They dont have CL income dont make loads on matchday revenue. Is it all Levy's own money??
