Kev, did he really put off the move to try get better offers? I thought he really didn't want to leave Scotland.
It's a big ask and alot of £ for a Scottish defender.
Thats closer to the mark he didn't even go down to discuss terms when the initial offer was accepted, our Chairman however creamed himself at the prospect of getting £9m and did everything he could to get him to change his mind. To be honest if I was a Spurs fan I wouldn't be overjoyed at the fact he doesn't particularly want to be there. But like I said if he produces the form he is capable of then he is worth every penny.

I would have told him to fuck right off, he pissed us about and used us to try and get better offers elsewhere.
Obv I hope he does good for us, but he will need to do extra good to make up for the shoddy way his move came about.
I don't really think he did - think he was determined to stay and pretty much had to be forced out.
Oh, and while he's improved as the others say,
I'd be concerned that the current drive against 2 footed tackles in the EPL could cause him problems

His tendency to dive into the tackle, 2 footed on more than one occaision this season already.

I must have missed those!
However, I admit he can be a bit rash and gets booked too often.

Huttons a decent enough player & has improved a hell of a lot in the last 12 months as has been stated already.
Better going forward than defending (should fit in at Spurs
), strong runner with loads of stamina, positional sense is suspect (he was horrible against Lyon in particular). He does like to get involved when he shouldn't & can be a bit over zealous (see Aberdeen at Pittodrie where cost Rangers 2 points) & likes a lie down when challenged. Can't blame Dodgy Dave for taking the cash as 9 mill for a SPL right back (albeit the best one) is crazy.
In summary, better than Christian Dailly

Probably negotiating the kick-back from his agent
I heard that he's been a spuds fan since his childhood....

I'm a Celtic fan and I'm delighted he's gone.
Fantastic player in my opinion. I was at the Italy game and he single handedly
dragged us back into it in the second half. He can run all day and loves getting
stuck in as Teacake mentioned. Dissappointed he has gone to a smaller club than Rangers though,
obviously attracted by the Sky cash.

Spurs: Do you want to come join us?
Hutton: No, I want to stay at Rangers
Couple of weeks pass
Spurs: Here's a million quid, do you want to come join us?
Hutton: Aye go on then.

On a side issue where the fuck to Spurs get their money from if I am correct they have spent more money in the last 12 months than anyone. They dont have CL income dont make loads on matchday revenue. Is it all Levy's own money??

Having Joe Lewis involved - Daniel phones up uncle joe and asks for more money and he just obliges. not so sure joe will continue to bankroll so much going forward and i know for a fact that at the right price he would sell. So things may not be so easy going forward, however unfortunately they have now assembled a very good squad and management team so i expect them to do very well 2nd half of the season and into next season
