When Michael was about eight, he returned from the local burn with this huge frog.

We had it in an empty aquarium and used to feed it crickets and the like. It was great fun watching it stalk the crikets and then launch it's huge tongue to snaffle it's prey then sit merrily chomping away.

We went to a local pet store for advice on how to keep it properly but the only advice they could give was that, as it was an indiginous species it was unlawful to keep it.

It was a sad day for Michael when we returned it to the burn, gave him hours of fun and he would return often to the spot but unfortunately never seen it again.

Damn, fell asleep & missed it! Is it to be repeated?

I used to as a child, laugh at my lovely Dad falling asleep after the 6 o'clock news and wondered why he needed so much sleep(after all he had been to bed the night before)

I now find myself sat on the sofa watching lets say Deal or no Deal or some such programme at tea time and the kids saying to me "what was the Deal"?
I don't know,I say as I must have dozed off at the key moment.
When did I get as old as my parents

I love this bbc iplayer, there are so many things i would have watched if  I had known they were on. The quality is really good as well.

Excellent program, all because of the unique way the BBC is funded.  LOL

My fave was defo the little beauty that bit its own tail!  Also enjoyed the tortoise fight!
