Get exactly 40 then!

End of Over 96 (Maiden). Bigglesthwaite CC: 313-10, runrate=3.26
Lead by 98 runs. (Thame Town 215-10)

Shame I couldn't get 7 more for the extra bonus point...

Disley* 184 (237 balls) - nice knock!

End of Over 1 (6 runs). Thame Town: 6-2, runrate=6.00 (1st Inn: 215-10)

My boy doesn't like being hit for 6!

Annoyingly, it brings his demon keeper in to bat already.

Let's hope the new ball can sort him out!

12.3 W Foot to Ngubane
Well, that's a tenner I've just lost! I had money on Ngubane surviving the innings not out. Credit to Foot, though. Not a bad little yorker.

Pretty good commentary, seeing as it's random!

Not too sure about the captains decision to remove hall from the attack:
Hall 4-0-21-3

I know I said I was bot-bashing so wouldn't post... but it's not a bad debut by the lad Powell

147.3   6   Keogh to Powell
Pulled high over mid wicket. Turner misjudges and comes in when he should have stayed back. The ball drops just over the boundary rope.
400!! Don't see that very often.
147.2   3   Keogh to Mcaliskey
Classy shot from Mcaliskey, clipping it off his legs wide of mid on. Mee gives chase.
147.1   1   Keogh to Powell
Runs the ball down to third man for a single.

End of Over 147 (4 runs). Gorseybrigg old boys: 925-6, runrate=6.29
Lead by 866 runs. (LLW 59-10)
Clasisse   34-0-215-2
Powell*   395 (376 balls)
Mcaliskey   32 (47 balls)

Up against one of the four teams where I look hopelessly outclassed and so it's proving as they batted all day yesterday to reach 479-6 before declaring.

Dug in today with defensive tactics and batted  ground out 163 in 90 overs!

Openers then saw out the final twenty overs to end up 49-0.

So, with better weather tomorrow, any chance of batting of the final day for a miraculous draw I wonder?  Shocked

after scoring 495, bowled them out for 93 1st time round, 2nd time my strike bowlers havent performed as well but I still have them 151-7.

easy win and hopefully bowl them out first thing to save fitness levels!

Another comfortable win for me.
The margin was an innings and 470 runs.
Maximum points after 2 games.

Won my first game of the season.
They got 384 first innings
I got 365-6 dec (forgot I had put a declaration in before game)
They got 111 2nd innings
I got 131-3

Bought a new 17 year old just before the game and forgot to give him bowling orders first innings. His 2nd innings stats were:  8-5-5-4

That would be a no then!

Decent effort though lasting 95 overs for my 220 all out.   Lot of wasted effort overall for no reward but I needed to get confirmation of exactly how competitive I'll be this season. Basically top four and bottom four are in two mini leagues!

My first ever first class defeat too!   Cry
