Many of us bemoaned the apparent loss of our "Fessie Weeks" subsequent to the GUKPT & GBPT Series.

Well, as you know, Lord Raab has worked very hard to restore the balance between "Series" & regular Fessies.

Next week sees the Walsall Leg of the GUKPT, but it's also a decent Fessie in it's own right.

Monday sees a £200, 2 day, Freezeout. 8pm start on Day One.

Tuesday it's a £300, 2 day, Double Chance. 8pm start on Day One.

Wednesday they have an Omaha comp - at last! - and it's a £250 Pot Limit Freezeout, one dayer. 8pm Start.

Thursday sees the start of the Main Event, a 4 day affair, at  2pm.

Then, the SAME EVENING, for early GUKPT departees, & those not playing Day 1a, is a 1 day, £100 Freezeout. 8pm.

Friday sees the same thing - another £100, one dayer.

On Saturday, they have a lovely £300, two dayer, starting at 6pm.

Finally, on Sunday, there is a £200 One-Dayer, starting at 4pm.

Structures, starting chips, clock?

Lord Raab posted these over a month ago, on a thread which, strangely, not much interest was shown. It's here....

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=30351.0

I hope to play Monday (if a Meet in London at lunchtime finishes soon enough), Tuesday, & Wednesday, but I have committmnts elsewhere for the rest of the week, sadly. Anyone else up for this Walsall Fessie?

A big up to Raaby for organising this year's Grosvenor Fessie schedule to take into account those of us who missed the regular Fessies, & at the same time, keeping the high-profile & much popular GUKPT Series.

Just got E Mail from Jon:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the start time of the main event of leg 2 of the 2008 GUKPT in Walsall has been changed from 2pm to 3pm. This applies to both starting days and to day 2 on Saturday. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. As a result, the online qualifiers reception will now take place at 2pm.

Regards,

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Doesn't Walsall have a track record of having to put back the start times of tournaments because they open up later than the other Grosvenors, or something?

I certainly remember about 15 of us sat outside for ages on day 2 of the APAT event and I seem to remember it happening for something else as well.

I will be there on monday. I can't make Tuesday since if I make the final table I wont be able to make it- kind of pointless lol! (I will be dressed up as Captain Hook in Cheltenham instead Cheesy)

I will play Friday onwards though.

Does anyone know if it is possible to reserve a seat or buy over the phone with a debit card?

TIA
