You have about 40% equity.  You are winning 31.2k if you win.  You have to put in 11k and your equity is a bit more than 12k, so I don't think you can't give that up unless there is a big jump in prize money and there is a reasonable chance that the other players will clash i.e. they have been playing at each other.

the reason for not pushing preflop was greed  i wanted a call then push them off on the flop unless i flop a big hand where i can slow play to double up

Pushing pre is a bit much for me with KQo with 12bb's and i just love shoving.After I play around with the maths it is very very maginal and swings for slight +ev against tight ranges to slightly -ev against wide ranges. Assuming no antes, if there are antes I probably would advise shoving it.

I would make it 3k preflop, small bets pre are the way to go with high blinds shorthanded it just allows you to steal for cheaper.

Given your description of villains I would call the re shove just because if they are good, they should reshove very wide here and kq plays pretty well against their ranges and we are getting a nice overlay.

Disagree with that, folding is also perfectly acceptable here (not with KQ obv, lesser hands, junk etc), still has 13 BB's to play with...

i did make the call

mainly as he took an age to make the raise

and as expected he turned over A9o

i dont think it was possible for me to get him off the hand anyway i played it

and i dont think with my chips agaisnt good players i should be folding KQo here

ime, other 2 players are playing for second here a lot of the time. And with 13BB's in this situation we are under immense pressure, it just doesnt look like it yet. Fold equity is vanishing fast.

Iron are you not happy to be getting it in as a 40/60 shot? I would be. Guys call is interesting, what do ppl think of that.

i was happy at the time but wondering if i could of moved my chips about a bit more and as you pointed out made them wait for the other player to knock me out

as they are both close friends who knew each others games inside out and are part of aberdeen's answer to THM i knew i could pull a fast one or 2

the guy with the A9 didnt call he pushed i think with A7> he would of more than likely called and i could push him off on flopbut he knew the range of hands i was raising the button with A9 was more than likely ahead

given the chip situation, i fold A9 to the raise or the push pre. no need to let the shortstack get lucky and double up.

Hmmm pushing any 2 is complete overkill here, they would have to be the two tighest rocks in the world to make it profitable. Even they will loosen up as you shove every orbit from the button.

They have to be calling aq+ 99+ only this might be the case once but not more than once. I rather maintain a slightly less crazy image and rob them quietly.
