I placed this bet on laddies

Dagenham & Redbridge vs Chester Match betting  Chester  7/4
Bury vs Wycombe Match betting Wycombe  11/8
Barnet vs Brentford Match betting Brentford  6/4
Rochdale vs Hereford Match betting Hereford  7/4
Shrewsbury vs MK Dons Match betting MK Dons  5/4

five aways for a fiver

had a couple of winners on the horses so had more money than usual on account, i was playing about changing the bet types but decided for the acc, after i placed the bet i notice they took £61 out instead of £5.

I still had a £1 lucky 31 and a £25 fourfold on there i forgot that i selected them just too see what the return would be on these 5 teams.

At the end of the day it was my error. i called the customer service number and told them but they said because it was done online they aint gonna do anything. i am pretty raging theres no way i would place a bet like that on these games, and theres still 3 hours till kick off

fair or unfair?Huh??

I think you should try the CS again and explain the mistake to a supervisor. There isnt really any reason that the bet cant be voided before it starts. Ask them to look thru your previous business to see that you wouldn't bet this kind of amount.

cheers

I think you should protest more, i once got a £600 bet back that was meant to be £60 and it was after the event and it had lost.

It was just way out of my normal range with that bookie, they weren't happy about it but eventually sorted it for me.

let it ride - imagine the buzz your going to get if all 5 are leading 1-0 with 10 minutes to go knowing one home goal would cost you millions (ish)

i can see hereford however letting you down for the 5-timer Wink

unfair, before any action has taken place you have every entitlement to cancel your wager... obv once any of your selections has started then your bet is "ON" ... but you have every right to cancel a wager before the off.

bug them and bug them again .... dont give up, make sure you are polite ... and ask for a supervisor or manager to deal with it.

Your a bawsac!  This is the sort of thing I normally do.  I hope it comes in mate and you stick it right up the tits!   Ohhh and also because I have 4 of the 5 teams on my line - finally given into you hammering on about away teams in League 2 Smiley

But definitely unfair.  Sad

worth having another try but its not unfair and i would be polite, i wouldnt shout to much as they are entitled to not void the bet, from there point of view you could easly just have found better odds in another bookie and want to replace your bet somewhere else, feel sypathy for you m8 ive done things like this myself, as you know the onus is on the customer to make sure bet is correct,

well i think your all in for a lot of arguments with your bookies, you cannot change a bet once it is placed without both parties aggreeing, no bookie has to let you change your bet

Fair imo.

Looking at this from the bookies point of view letting people cancel bets is opening the floodgates to all kinds of scams. Say you place a bet on a event then realise someone isn't playing for a certain team, the conditions are bad etc, you can just phone up and say "oops silly me cancel the bet".

When I was abritrage betting as a student I made the mistake of putting a 350 quid bet on the wrong side of a game and tried to get it reversed, with no luck. I literally ended putting every penny I owned trying to cover the bet so my no loss was as small as possible. I would have won as well, to the tune of 4 figures.

It is your responsibility to check the bet is correct, a harsh lesson learnt. All internet sites have confirmation screens to check your bet.
