I may have to suffer Atonement, but the Mrs has a bad back and an appointment at the back doctor at 7:30pm
Therefore, if I can get a babysitter, I may pop down the Western for the freezeout

Its also a topic of much debate between the missus & I! She feels I should make the effort as its the one day of the year to be sweapt off her feet......
Along with Aniversarry for, 1st date, 1st Kiss, 1st shagg, 1st walk in the park, 1st ride in the car, 1st walk on the beach, Birthday, Xmas, Easter............. oh god the days go on and on........

Thank you for your posts everyone - it's all making quite interesting reading
Now that Boldie has some ideas from this thread (good and bad) I'm not quite sure how it's going to turn out - but I think some previous posts have convinced him to cook at least!
I must admit, I'm rather cynical about Valentine's day as well and the Mister is actually quite romantic the rest of the year - but I can never say no to a bit more romance, no matter what the excuse.....
Have a nice day tomorrow anyway everyone - even if it's just cos it's nearer the weekend...

We're heading up to Galway tomorrow with the kids and some friends of ours...staying here:

We've stayed there in the past and had a fabulous time. Spa treatments, walks in the woods and swims in the pool...happy days.
