Just before the dinner break, I caught the end of a great hand for Pete Linton.  Somehow within an hour he had gone from 1,700 to about 10,000 then on a board like below against Michael Bolous:

He was all in for his last 7K and Michael was deep in the tank.  Pete was doing his best to look nervous but Michael was just thinking could Pete have another monster?  All Pete had shown down were big pocket pairs, but he couldn't lay down his  and Pete doubles again to about 21,000.

What did Pete have? I'm presuming A-A!

Players are returning to the tables now.

I was chatting to Jen, Dan Carter and Red Dog when in the middle of the conversation, Red suddenly takes out a plastic comb and starts chewing on a couple of the bristles! Helps to keep him from smoking, but it certainly was a bizarre comedy moment.

a few more pictures of the brazilian (not yours maria) would be nice. Also keep an eye on ed giddins stack for me. He's a bit like womble and if he gets chips too early he gets a nosebleed and has to donk some off so he gets back to his comfort zone (ie short stack).

Paul Moss lost a big pot with Aces to Kings just after the break. Then Tony Phillips (who is the definition of what you would call a 'cheeky chappie') raised it up, John O'Shea called and Paul Moss bumped it up by another 2k. Both players called.

Paul Moss instantly moved in for his last 4,550. Tony thought about it for a while, it felt as though he had a decent sized pair and was trying to ascertain whether he was ahead. Eventually he called, John O'Shea, whom I was standing behind, looked once more at his and threw it away, assuming Tony probably had Jacks, and that he was beat.

Paul Moss:

Tony Philips:

The Irishman let out a slightly anguished cry when he realised he'd folded the best hand.

Hi guys, could you pass on best of luck to Luton's "Celtic". Lets hope the boy can do goooooood!!!!!

He's just knocked out Steve Jelinek.

Vince had raised preflop and Steve Jelinek had called from the blinds to see a flop, the latter check/raising all-in on the flop with . Except Vince had raised with and housed up on the turn, Steve was not a happy bunny...

Dan Owston is OUT. He re-raised/bluffed Colin Gillon off a hand and shown 6-4off, and in the next hand Colin raised again and Dan re-raised once more, this time Colin called and they saw a Q-T-x flop, all the chip went in, this time Dan had a hand, Kings as it happens, but Colin had out-flopped him with Q-T to make top two pair. Dan was left with 100 chips and was promptly out soon after, while Colin has around 40k now.
